Isn't he in his 3rd season? Wouldn't you have 2 more years of manageable salary with the 5th year option? If that's the case, then just a matter of draft picks. Gonna have to pay him, but not for another 2 seasons.

Most rookies get their extensions done after their 3rd season, and if you trade for the player at that time, they’re going to force you to give them the extension then, they’ll have all the leverage, especially if you gave up a first to get them

If we gonna draft tmac, might as well just give them the 8th straight up for for Wilson

Literally makes no sense when T-Mac is going to be the better player, he’s younger, and would be on a rookie contract

Just think of it the other way around, if the Jets have the 7th and 8th pick after trading Wilson and T-Mac is there, it means they’re taking him.

why would we want to be on the end of the deal that gets the player with a lower ceiling, is older, and will cost more money over the next 4 years?

the only advantage Wilson has over T-Mac might be during his rookie year while he gets used to the NFL game, but by year 2 it won’t even be a debate who is better.

T-Mac will be a Top 5 WR by the time he needs his 2nd contract, I’m 100% convinced of it

I do not see how he makes to 8. But I have seen a couple good board makers list him at 15th 12th and others.

I feel drafting him with heavy defense would be the best plan for Dan and Panthers. Just need one more elite TE or WR, then load up on D with BPA in mind.

The Panthers are not 1 WR away from being a playoff team

they are a full defense away from being a playoff team

this is not the time to throwing away draft capital…I don’t care who it is

…ask Joe Burroughs about the importance of having a defense…the best receiver in the league…a great #2; plus a run game

…and where are they ?  …their happy asses are sitting home

for once, stay where you are…take the best defensive players available  build this team the right way and don’t look back

…oh yeah, stay out of salary cap hell

HELLLLLLLLLLL NO

Would I love Crosby?

Of course

Are we in any position to give up the multiple 1sts they'd need in return for him?

No fuging way

Too many holes to give up at minimum 2 firsts, and possibly more, that the Raiders would need to trade him away.

Of course not, but it is a major piece. Especially with how Bryce was slinging it towards the end. We would still have all of FA (we can make a TON of cap space this year) and a loaded 2-7 round picks.
