You have clearly lost your mind if you think a late 2nd will be enough

Yeah we're looking at the 8th pick and maybe more...

Still, I think GW is better than any receiver in the draft and if you're ever going to try to make a move like this, now is the right time.

Still highly unlikely unless GW is willing to push this to the limit with the Jets.

DM should absolutely inquire, but while this is exciting, very little chance it actually happens IMHO

Idk man. Rodgers makes the Jets a poo show. We're in a position to take the division next year.

No we're not. Until that defense breaks into the top 15 this team will be up and down next season. You cannot expect them to win every shootout and defenses will catch onto Canales scheme and Youngs tendencies. Getting to .500 next year will be a good season from where I sit. FA and the draft will have a lot to do with my confidence in that.

It would definitely take our 1st rounder + more. And the more isn’t day 3 picks. He isn’t even 25 yet i don’t think and is very talented. Why would the jets do this?

plus we aren’t one WR away. We can’t afford to give up more assets. Especially when we aren’t even 100% sure on bryce.

8th and a 3rd at least.  Maybe more.   Then you have to pay him.   Just draft tmac at that point

I normally would agree, but we have XL & Coker on rookie deals and Theilen is gone after next year.

Point being we're not spending a lot on WR at this point and could fit a GW contract

The draft compensation is hefty, but this offense needs a true #1 WR and they're not easy to find. GW is proven.

Do you think Tmac is a sure enough bet to forego trading for a WR?

I haven't watched enough of Tmac to have an educated opinion

    • I am seeing Vrabel, Johnson, and Saleh as the 3 hottest candidates.  Many see Johnson as the most coveted--but I disagree.  Johnson is a technical guy--a creative offensive mind who has not been a head coach yet.  I think Vrabel or Saleh are better choices because they are more about culture and seem to have the respect of players.  I also think Vrabel might be making a mistake going to New England, I think he is the best leader of men--followed by Saleh.  Dan Campbell is not a football genius, but he knows how to motivate. He gets family and the power of the locker room.  Having said that, Johnson needs to go to a job with a solid culture--not one that is in disarray.  After the presser in Jax with the owner who threatened to fire his GM while sitting beside him on national TV--that is not the job for him.  I also think Brady needs a more solid environment, but I am not sure he is head coach material.
    • Legette body catching is really worrisome to me. Never uses hands, I think that one catch this week was the only one I remember.  Coker is amazing. Could replace Thielen long term.  All for a late round rookie RB, CUT SANDERS. JT Sanders on the other hand has me very excited. We need defense but a true #1 would do wonders for Bryce and XL won't be that guy as soon as next year if at all. Tee, Tet, GW, one of those would be exciting.  So happy for Bryce.
    • The plan this year was to find out if Bryce was our guy, establish a culture, and build the identity of this team. I'd say we accomplished our goal. Now of course Bryce didn't start off the season as we hoped but I respect the leadership of this team to not panic and to stay the course.
