The Jets have reportedly released LG Alan Faneca.

The headline here reads "Jets release Pro Bowl G Alan Faneca." A Pro Bowler Faneca was in 2009, but he sure didn't play like it. Second-round pick Vlad Ducasse now looks to be locked in at left guard. Faneca, 33, will draw some interest, but won't approach the $7.5 million he was due from the Jets.

turns out you guys aren't the only ones who didn't put an offset in a deal. Faneca will get 5.25M from the Jets plus whatever he gets from his next team. Texans said to be kicking his tires.

Heard about them releasing him during the draft on NFLN. Interesting to see what team picks him up. He didn't have a solid year last season at all.
