that Carolina is looking past 2010 more then some want to admit. It has long been debated, but the draft is just following the same pattern that has been discussed......it is all a plan to for post 2010 and post lockout (if it occurs).

No, they are not tanking it. But this is not a team looking to go "all in" and win it all in 2010. They are building a roster to be dangerous in a few years and be competitive for the time being.

Seriously, Marty tried to move to the 33nd pick for Clausen......

It means, "It's about time". We've been hollering for the Panthers to develop a talented QB forever. Well, they put their chips in and took Clausen.

I think it's a very advantageous pick. Does it hurt Moore's stock? Heck yea. I always root for the undrafted QB's, but I want to see the Panthers silence the critics. We need to become a consistent playoff team. We have been on the cusp. Now it's time to build a team around a young franchise QB (and we'll all pray that Moore or Clausen is it).
