Sports Science: Damian Williams...

Recommended Posts

Damian Williams >> Marty Gilyard Im sorry man.

Did u see Gilyard at the Senior bowl and combine workouts. He couldnt even catch the ball, he isnt fast and he played in a spread offense.

Damian Williams has great hands, as you can see in that video. Played in a pro style offense, was the best USC WR from the day he transfered from Arkansas and USC has alot of talent at the position.

Again... more worthless, unfounded skeptic banter about Gilyard...

He actually did the opposite of your analysis...

If you just think of him as an Arkansas player, rather than having visions of Mike Williams or Dwayne Jarrett--even though he's a completely different player than either one of them and is more similar to Steve Smith anyway, and comparing players and making a judgment on account of his school regardless of his actual ability on the football field is totally stupid....then the thought of drafting him is not as hard to stomach.

that sports science segment is a joke. gee, when will the nfl allow padded landing areas for wide receivers? we have to watch out for their safety as well.

also, i laughed til i choked when i saw the "scientific" graphic and the announcer saying "ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY DEGREES!"

So did you say the same things for the ones on Gilyard or Suh or was it only the USC receiver that brought it out....

didn't see those. i'm sure they're equally ridiculous. this receiver may be awesome, but nothing in that sports science segment has anything at all to do with it.

    • Canales was brought in to fix Bryce. That was how he sold himself. He failed.  the panthers need a new qb, someone to coach him, and someone to build a defensive staff.  Canales has failed at developing a new qb. His big draft project XL is trending towards bust. His entire nfl resume before the panthers was one season as offensive coordinator on a stacked Bucs team, and being on the offensive staff when a 31 year old Geno smith finally put it all together. And he didn’t even pick his offensive coordinator. Assuming evero is gone, who’s he got in that phone to call? What low lvl porn addict evangelical from the bucs is ready to be Peter principled? There is nothing in his coaching history or his current performance that indicates he’s the person to move this team forward. Every other team knew this last cycle (panthers were only interview) and nothing has happened to change that perception   all people like you have is “well you can’t do it again it’s too soon but <random interval of time> will be different.  just pull off the bandage. There’s no reason to let this guy draft “his guy” except people wanting an excuse not to fire him after 2025.
    • Both Reich and Canales were saddled with trying to build and establish a viable scoring offense around Bryce Young. The best the offense looked this season and last season was with Andy Dalton who is also terrible but still better than Bryce Young. Which should be all anyone needs to know but still somehow there are weirdos here salivating over a ceiling of maybe on a really good day the 25th best QB in the league. We've already canned one entire staff over our first overall pick. You can fire everyone again to satisfy your need for vengeance and quickly come to the realization that your next hire will absolutely unequivocally be a downgrade yes man or you can blow up this QB room and then assess. If no progress next season then you can make changes and justifiably so.
    • Surprised this is the only post with this take.  This is like the Rhule kiss of death lol.
