Mardy Gilyard SHOULD be the Pick..

I mean timed speed is NOT the most important thing for a WR. Mardy plays fast. His success in the return game and the way he made Tony Pike look so good proves he can be successful in the NFL.

Gilyard should NOT be the pick. I have not read a scouting report or seen anything outside of walterfootball.com that has him rated that high. It's one thing to like a guy and another entirely to build a guy up to something he isn't. Here are the facts...he has average at best speed, above average quickness, and average at best hands. He isn't the most adept route runner (he hails from a spread offense) and he is weak off the line. In other words corners won't be scared of his "speed" and will be physical with him.

I'm not in any way saying he will be a bust but I just don't like him in the second round. He will come here, make a few plays and then fizzle out a lot like keary colbert. I just don't see what everyone else sees I guess. As I said before, nobody has him ranked in the top 50-60 prospects and some don't even have him as a top 10 WR!!!

We will look like Jacksonville did yesterday if we pick him in the 2nd.
