Did you guys hear Gruden after the Broncos pick?

Didn't care for Gruden as much this past year, but he's elevated himself a lot, especially with his "QB Camp" segments.

Might be a better move for him to keep this job rather than return to coaching.

although he's a pretty good announcer, i'm more fond of his coaching. i mean, he had almost nothing but winning seasons when he was with the buccs, then he leaves, and the buccs completely fail the following year.

put it to you this way, if Fox is out the door next year, i'd rather have gruden over cowher any day.

He will be the next Madden IMO.

Quite possible.

People used to say that about Matt Millen before the disaster that was the Lions.

Eeeehhhh, not really.

He was about 50-50 after the Super Bowl year (for which a fair number of people give Tony Dungy a lot of credit).

Including the Super Bowl season, he was 57-55 in Tampa (winning pct of .509). He actually had a higher winning percentage in Oakland (.594) .

Overall he's right at 54%. By contract, John Fox's winning perdentage with the Panthers is 0.555.

As far as the playoffs, other than the previously discussed Super Bowl, the Bucs only made the playoffs twice in the next six years and were one and done both times.

Throw in that the reason he ended up being let go was that his players all hated his guts and basically threatened to mutiny if they had to play for him without Monte Kiffin.

      He doesn't need to play in 2025. And maybe not 2026 either from what I've read. This is but one peer-reviewed selection:    "A devastating complication of returning to sport following ACL reconstruction (ACLR) is a second ACL injury.       Not sure I would be so sure they feel worse than us - their QB was better than Bryce at in the first season, they got DJ Moore, and 2 more high caliber draft picks.  We had to give up basically our entire defense this season indirectly to make that happen and we still have no true #1 WR.  Not saying I would rather have Caleb over Bryce at this point - but I would rather have their team situation and draft picks hands down.

      A lot of people think this draft is weak at QB--I think, after the first five picks of the first round, there are a ton of developmental QBs who could develop into the role--here is the psychology behind it--Bryce becomes the mentor--you can learn as much by teaching others than by being taught.   It also makes him a true leader.  But I think there are a few QB in this draft that might not be ready now, but in 2 years, could be NFL starting QBs--Howard, Rourke, Ewers, Milroe, Dart, etc.  Talk about a cheaper backup and one that could evolve into trade capital--or if Bryce can't find consistency-his replacement.  Round 3 will have some of these qbs--maybe early day 3.
