i like the kid. he'll be good.

all those character concerns are stupid. his work ethic is great and he learns from mistakes and doesn't repeat them.

he's got all the tools you need to be good and he'd help with the return game.

absolute dream scenario...we pick up him, mccluster, and eric decker or blair white.

there's no receiver in the draft with better change of direction than gilyard. you can tell that just from watching him play. i'd be happy with him or ford with our 3rd rounder, even if we have to somehow trade up. there's too many other more reliable receivers ahead of him though to get him in the 2nd.

gilyard isn't even expected to go 'til the 3rd round. he's not even listed as a 2-3 rounder. i think you folks are jumping ahead. you know there is a whole group of great receivers listed ahead of him.

I'm starting to think more and more that the first four picks should all be WR's.

the dude does not always catch the ball. you've only seen the highlight reels. he's actually a bit unreliable. this in addition to his qb in college not having any kind of zip on his passes. he got lobs thrown at him and he still had trouble. he's also not a good run blocker, something the panthers covet as much as anything in a receiver. i'd love to have him, but not with our 2nd round pick. there are too many other receiving options that are better.
