Panthers should trade down...

why didnt CAR try and get a WR in FA? WR's in the draft are a crapshoot it seems.

No one was free, the other teams wanted picks and the players wanted cash. Imagine that.............. We would rather have a cheap guy on a rookie contract than we would have a proven veteran who wants to get paid accordingly.

Next years QB class is looking rather top heavy with lots of NFL caliber talent available (if some jr's declare) in round 1. Considering how much faith the FO is putting into an undrafted guy with few starts and no big veteran as a backup, I'm starting to think like Zod, we really need to keep our 1st round pick just in case this whole season blows up. This isn't like last year where all our pieces were in place for a run at the playoffs. All we needed then was stability at the QB position and we saw how that turned out.

Next year's first is probably a top 15. No way would I trade that regardless of depth.

Plus with a rook salary cap prolly cheap as well.

Stay the course, do not trade away next years first for this years second round talent as we did last year.

If we had this years first we could be trading out of the first round and really stockpile the roster.

Wow.. people are finally starting to gets it This is what I've been saying. Moore is unproven at this time, if he fails this season we need to be in position to be able to grab a franchise QB.... If we were the colts... okay give it away, but were not and next seasons success depends on a lot of unproven young players stepping up. It could be great or a train wreck.

Doesn't matter if the draft isn't deep next year... There will still be top talent in the top 10-15.... Draft depth refers to the later rounds, not a Top 10,15 pick!

Doom and gloom from Pstall!?!?!?

I still don't see us being worse than 10-6

hell, I think we could win 8 games with our current roster, but what do I know?

I'd like to see us trade down for a 3rd and (2) 5ths

Hey I would to see then go 10-6. Would not bother me at all.

We need to stockpile talent. Although the track record in rds 2 have been bad, make it happen now.

I think both are possible!!! We may be 10-6 or better, or we have top 5 pick. Between injuries, and young players having to step up.... anything is possible IMO.... and a lot deals with how well Moore does with a full offseason in control, and teams game planning fir him.

He likes rookie contracts. It doesn't get much cheaper than that.

i meant to ask you about your opinion on this. i dont understand how richardson penny pinching or showing "fiscal responsibility" these year can help him if our team tanks during the season. we almost have to a winning record to prove his point if he is trying to make one. i doubt he can go into the cba meetings and say "Hey guys! pinch pennies like me and your team can be 7-9 just like mine":D
