Wow if we draft Taylor mays!!!

Common mis-perception is that t-dav came out of college as a safety... No he was a linebacker, but at the time we had a need at the safety spot and he had the speed to fill it. So we played him there for a while and let him develope his skills before we moved him back to his natural position at linebacker.

Taylor Mays is a safety who has the size of a linebacker... Question is, is he tough enough to play the position? I don't think he is. I think Dan Connor has the toughness and the knowlege to beat out Mays all day even without Mays' athletisism.

Hate to do this to you, but you're wrong. While Thomas Davis did have some experience in college at LB (he also played 8 positions in HS), he was a safety while at Georgia. He was such a great athlete that so some teams who already had a safety were looking at him at LB.

Horrible idea. If he move up why not take Arrelious Benn or Golden Tate? I saw a mock re-draft with Taylor available with our 2nd. Why move up for him? I can not believe their is a discussion about moving him to Linebacker. His pursuit angles are not good and he is always looking for the highlight tackle and not the secure one.

If let's say we trade next years first to move up and get Taylor mays and move him to linebacker like we did with Thomas davis not only would we have an insane linebacker core it would take the pressure of the whole d line plus in madden we will be unstoppable then we can draft a wr with our normal pick

that's what most people haven't realized about the panthers though... they don't draft for needs. yeah, they're aware of their needs, but they always take the BPA... especially this year when they have nothing to bargain with, except for next year's picks. with that being said, i still think they take either a DT or WR with their first pick. not because they are of need, but because those are the best players available in the middle of the 2nd round. or perhaps a LB.

I think they do both actually.
