Giants owner John Mara reiterated that the team will not be trading Osi Umenyiora.

General manager Jerry Reese has stated the same. "Osi is going to play for us in 2010," added Mara. "We're bringing him back. He's only 28...and I think he's going to have a huge year for us." The Giants could still bite if offered a second-round pick, but the value of draft choices is at an all-time high. They might only be getting fourth- and fifth-round trade offers.

Osi will be #4 DE on the depth chart by the end of the season. They will be forced to trade him.

He was one of the best DEs in the league two years ago when he had Strahan helping him out.

Actually he didn't play in 2008 having sat out with a serious knee injury. You must be thinking 2007 when he had 13 sacks. And Strahan was not the major reason he had a good year although having a good edge rushing on the other side always helps out any DE.

Reese, the GM of the Giants, said that they never intended to trade him and he isn't being shopped.

Osi sucks though. He had one good season, 2005, and has sucked or been hurt ever since. He doesn't get consistent pressure and isn't great against the run.

Meh. Osi is a great player, but probably more of a problem than the FO want's to deal with right now. Big Cat is trying to save money in 2011, so I doubt you'll see any big trades, even after the Draft.

Has the 4th most combined tackles and sacks for a DE from the last 4 years combined.

He had double digit sacks twice and one of the years (2007) was only because he had over half of them in one game where Winston Justice gave up after #2.

Ask any NY Giants fan. He is overrated and isn't good. I see every Giants game. Tuck is twice the player he is.
