O-line/protection was by far the biggest difference from last week to this week.  And that was the difference between scoring 14 points and 44 points.

It also helps that Bryce was masterful at moving inside the pocket, making quick decisions and avoiding pressure

Coaches and GM are going to have determine how much of Cade’s solid play was due to the stellar guards he had on both sides vs his own improvements.

Yeah, that's one concern I have. Also, every time I watch analysis videos, I get the impression our snaps are often not very clean. Wouldn't be surprised if that has thrown timing off as a result.

Yeah but that's every week 😉 harder to do that when pressure is coming from everywhere.  I'm not taking anything away from Bryce, just saying give the man some adequate protection and LET HIM COOK.

Also damn, is Cade our long term answer at C?

Been saying YES all year.  He has played every position in college, and did not play C much here until he beat out BC for the job when Corbett left.  Cade is very good at pass blocking (9th of 64) and needs to improve on run blocking.  He is 25.  If you charted his growth this year, you would have a line with a steep, rising slope

Joe Gilbert was one of the best position hires we’ve ever ever had.

It doesn’t matter who gets plugged in on the OL, everyone is at the very least playing good football if not above average football.

yes--watched his videos early on.

We had Zavala and Mays playing beside one another.  We have depth and youth.
