Evero will return as DC

It’s natural to want him gone and maybe there are DCs out there that could do better with this personnel but I would prefer the consistency.

A new DC will also have a terrible D and we’d be waiting until 2026 to let the players learn his scheme and for him to bring his own guys. I’d rather give Evero one more year. If they don’t hit on the draft it will be another long year.

Because the results have been bad. But I'm with you here, to be honest I think he's done pretty well with the personnel he's been givin. When he has studs, and a healthy roster he usually puts together a good defense. And also, I think sticking with some continuity is huge for us. We have had enough changes, let it ride and work through the growth before canning people

You see it on the field - players are put in positions to make plays and they're simply not talented enough to do it.

The London TD over the middle - there's two Safeties there doing nothing. The Robinson TD run to tie it up at the end of the game - there's three Panthers there that let him outrun them all to the edge.

What do you mean pushed out? Luvu was offered a contract and he declined and went with a smaller dollar amount. How is that Evero's fault? Idk man, maybe you could say that for Chinn, maybe. It did seem he couldn't ever find a use for him. But even then, pushed out? Idk if that's the verbage I would use for any of those guys.

It's Evero's fault because his dumbass scheme doesn't allow linebackers to rush the passer as much as Luvu was capable of. Luvu made a career decision and went somewhere where he could rack up sacks, which pays the big bucks. Evero likes to blitz defensive backs.

Do you know what "pushed out" means? Maybe "ran off" might be a better way to put it. But saying "pushed out" implies he's straight up saying "I don't want those guys on my defense".

I’m underwhelmed, but I can see Canales reasoning. Also, would they find someone better or not? He just seem stuck in his ways and doesn’t seem to adjust. I also feel he doesn’t take advantage of a talent like Horn to allow him to travel with the best opposing WR etc. I also don’t like the smaller NT in his system.

That all said, this is the year of a lot of coming upgrades on defense, so hopefully it will all work out. I’m thinking we might target Jalon Walker or Malaki Starks in the draft. Not sure where Graham would play in his defense considering we already have Brown and A’shawn as ends.

There is no DC that would even field a top 25 defense with a starting 11 including players such as LaBryan Ray, Shy Tuttle, A'Shawn Robinson, Jacoby Windmon, Josey Jewell, Jordan Fuller.

Evero was considered a top 5 DC before the season. Canales made the right call.

The part that is a little bothersome about this reasoning is that these terrible and inadequate players didn't sign themselves to deals. So at some point, someone in charge of something, thought they would be good enough.

Several of those players were traded or released last off-season. Please don't waste my time with semantics.

I need someone to make a list of players he brought in from his former teams. We heard commentators gush about it all year, while we were being ran over.
