if i maximized my money beyond what i needed for survival, and one other key thing which i'm not going to mention in order to avoid a religious argument, i would give the excess to a fiscally responsible charity. somehow i doubt that's what peppers is doing with his $40 million or so he's gotten in two years through questionable means. i personally suspect he deceived the panthers last year when he said he wanted to play for another team just so we'd franchise him and have to pay him off all that money. then, this year he said he wanted a long term deal probably just to have another offer on the table in case it was bigger than what a team like chicago offered him. he lies to get the most money he can even though he's already making millions anyway. sounds like a real character issue to me. but, we can agree to disagree. i understand people not of my religion probably do not think the same way as me, and this isn't the right forum for that type of discussion. so, if you think there's nothing wrong with peppers then that's cool. i personally do, and would rather see him drop football to focus on himself, thus the reason i wish he would have a career ending injury.

Holy cow. A person can "survive" off of $30,000/year. So, YOU, being among the elite in your field, make $1,000,000/year, you would donate $970,000 to a "fiscally responsible charity."

How do you substantiate accusing him of lying? Based upon what FACTS do you cast these accusations? I'm sorry, but gut feeling is NOT enough to accuse someone of being a liar, I don't care what religion you follow.

one year he said he wanted to go play for another team in a 3-4 and be an outside linebacker, and had no interest in a long-term deal with carolina. the next year he said he wanted a long-term deal in carolina and the 3-4 thing was never mentioned again. the reason he used was he liked meeks' style of defense better, even though his position was barely affected by said style change. hmm ... something is going on there! me thinks he not tell truth.

if he had said he wanted a long-term deal a year ago, we wouldn't have had to franchise him and pay him an insane amount of money. he knew we wouldn't franchise him again, so this year he said he wanted a long-term deal in order to consider the offer. not difficult to see what he was doing.

i didn't know you were a bears fan before. that's cool. that explains why you're spending so much time defending peppers. everyone else who disagreed with me just said one or two things and let it go. i thought you had some other motive, but i didn't know what it was.

I hardly waste a moment on defending most of the accusations thrown at Pep (as several are true lol), but degrading the guy because he wants to maximize his earning is just silly. Insinuating that he's a liar and substantiating it with religion as the shield on your arm... well, that's not a fight I'm getting into.

i would appreciate that, because regardless of who your posts are targeted towards, they more often than not are derogatory. so, i would actually rather you did ignore me altogether so your hatred for others doesn't rub off on me.
