Steelers have begun contacting teams to trade Ben

That had nothing to do with what I said

This is going to be really hard for the Steelers to pull off, even if the Raiders were included. IF indeed the 4-6 game suspension is accurate, so you have a guinny pig QB for those games knowing he will lose that spot week 7. I just don't see it happening.

that is what you said...

So what do you mean as a guinny pig QB?

And saying that is a bad thing because he knows that he will lose his job, what does that not have to do with what I responded with?

Ben + #18 for Aso + #8

That would be a steal for the Steelers. Go back to Big Ben's 1st superbowl ring and you will find that his contribution to that team wasn't anything special. They just pounded the ball with Bettis and Parker and then that D...oh that D.

Aso added to that D will make them contenders again even without Ben or Holmes. Plus there is the #8 pick to add that team like a top tier OT.

I'm not so certain they'll go heavy for a QB. Coach Tomlin is said to be high on Dennis Dixon.

Not sure Asomugha makes as much sense for them as he might elsewhere. He's a great player, but the Steeler system needs top flight safeties more than it does corners. They've done okay with average corners before.

For those who care about this sort of thing, if the Steelers trade Roethlisberger, they'll have an all-black QB depth chart.

Ben to Raiders would work for all

Give's Al 4-6 weeks to watch his #1 QB and see if there is any hope for Russell.

If Russell shows some spark, then around 4-6 weeks in some team will have injuries and Al could maybe trade Russell out {alot will depend on Russell's play} as to if he appeals to another team.

Raider's are seasons away from going anywhere so what would it hurt .

chalk up one more win for us this year. how do the steelers recover from that?

I wouldn't chalk up a W that easily, at least not yet. Dennis Dixon is still an unknown who could be good, and they have Leftwich who knows their system. Throw in they could make other moves, and that their system (at least in the past) has been more keyed on running than passing.
