Funny, sad and very true all at the same time

For the first time (to a wider audience, at least), the Bobcats aren't just some vague, amorphous basketball thing in the place where Jake Delhomme ruined everything. Given the opportunity to evolve on their own, they've become who they are: A legit squad.

It's a shame that being a good team in the NBA doesn't mean poo anymore.

Dwight Howard: foul 5 times in the first quarter, get credited with like 8 blocks instead.

Not to mention what should have been foul six where he nearly decapitated Wallace.

Don't fool yourself. The NFL/Panthers are still king in Charlotte.

Yep, after the Hornets left a lot of people were permanently turned off to the NBA even if Charlotte got another franchise, which obviously it did.

I am one of them. I casually follow the Bobcats, basically just to be somewhat in the know, but hardly a fan.

Maybe over time that will change. However in NC, college basketball still, and always will, reign supreme.
