Yeah, you just use their careers. Everything.

We are only allowed to talk about Bryce through the lense of like 4 games

Or you can be reasonable and objective. Use your critical thinking skills (let me dumb that down for you, your thinking cap) and view the stark contrast of his performance from last year/pre benching to post benching.

You know, like everyone else in the world is. Go type ‘Bryce young’ in the search bar on twitter, instagram, facebook, and you’ll find fans of any and all teams singing his praises, happy for him. Posting and reposting his highlights.

It’s just you that wants to be miserable. I know you finally felt like you fit in somewhere with the anti Bryce mob, but it’s time to let go.

Yeah man I would make that argument. Had our defense been anything other than trash Bryce would’ve delivered W’s against TB, Philly, KC and put us in the playoffs. He’s delivering inspite of the team like Cam did.

Yeah that’s not real argument though.  You change everything in your favor and yet it’s all still supposed to play out all the same way for the other side? KC has just been playing up and down with folks all year.  Philly had a bad day.  And on and on.  Plus if opponents did the same type logic in our wins do we still count those?

but back to the point, you aren’t really making that argument.  You are just saying the D sucked D.   Which isn’t an argument that Bryce Young out clutched Jake Delhomme in Carolina….when Bryce hasn’t even caught 1 season of GW drives by Jake in 28 starts.  Jake had straight up magic in them early days.

He’s starting to pass the eye tests. He’s making more accurate window throws and his timing on throws that need to be out of his hand before the route is over is worlds better compared to last year. He’s finally playing with confidence. I’m one of the biggest Young haters on here(just call it how I’ve seen it), but he has definitely made some promising strides to end the season…. That defense is another story though….

My critical thinking skills tell me, people are essentially cherry picking Bryce down to 4 games out of 28 starts and saying the rest is irrelevant to make their argument…..because even cherry picked post benching, most of his starts were below average.  Bryce is still a pretty wildly inconsistent player.   As he should be.

He had a great game today.  His improvement from the dumpster fire has been nice.  But it’s not being miserable to simply choose not to ride the enthusiasm wave too far.  I didn’t think Sam Darnold was in the MVP talks, I didn’t think Robbie Anderson was better than DJ Moore, and so on forever.

Bryce doesn’t have the resume to back the checks people are now willing to write.  I have seen this show a billion times before.  Simple as that.

Did you seriously just suggest using social media comments as some sort of barometer for athletic performance? What an absolute clown show of a comment.

I'd say Bryce has been pretty consistently good since the bye, tbh. The Cowboys game was bad, and he didn't always play *exceptional* football, but he was good enough for us to win every game by the DAL game IMO with an average defense.  That is pretty good for a 2nd year player coming off the worst rookie year in history.

But yeah, people rushing to crown him over all-time Panther greats... I just want to see him keep building. Today was exceptional, and I'm excited for next year.

But yeah, you basically are now getting down to my 4 starts out of 28  argument.  That’s 7 games.  2 he was bad in.  So that’s now down to 5.  AZ was really just a game of Connor vs Hubbard to me and Connor got hurt.  We won.  So then there were 4.  And 4 out of 28…..just isn’t the resume to back some of this noise.  Even if I just give folks AZ and pretend it wasn’t just pedestrian NFL play.

I still think he played well vs Arizona though. I'm not saying it was EXCEPTIONAL play, it wasn't.  But it was solid QB play.

But what you highlight is why, though I am excited for next year, I'm not "sold" on him in the same way as some people.  We have basically half a year of solid to good play from him over 2 years. That's not really enough to rely on long term IMO.  But luckily we get to see him evaluated next year, too.

I mean his improvement has been good.  To an extent I hit a wipe out button like I did for Trevor year 1.   So this was Bryce’s rookie season redo.  Sort of looked like what he thought we were getting.

but this top 10, already ahead of Jake Delhomme, is just standard huddle over reach seen over and over.

They forced a freaking turnover on the falcons side of the field. Did you not watch the game or just ignore that?

So 1 short field that I forgot. Did you watch the game? So all our drives were on short fields the defense gave the offense? I didn't know what had the 2015 defense back. Your misery is wonderful.

So you said all that afterwards to basically still be wrong? 1 turnover can make all the difference. It was a 1 score game, neither team could really get a stop so 1 turnover can make all the difference. We scored off that turnover so it obviously helped. My point was the defense didn't start playing better till bryce got back in the lineup, sacks and turnovers went up. Yeah they still couldn't stop anybody but they created more opportunities for the offense to score in shorter distance.
