Do you think we have a top 10 QB now?

He was bad in the Dallas game. The bucs game was eh, but we didn't lose that game or get blown out because of Bryce Young. No turnovers, 2 TD's, 203 yds. Nothing to write home about stat wise, but bad?

I'm assuming you are talking about the bucs game as the other "bad" game from BY. If so, you are out of your damn mind dude. You saw a box score and are assuming or are just spewing poo because morons will believe you.

QBR 62.1

Zero easy completions behind LOS. Zero run game.

Bryce was good

I'd take Tet if he fell to 8 depending on what blue chip defenders are left.

I really wish we had seen more from XL so we wouldn't feel concerned about WR room but he completely disappeared.

I think we saw enough to know what he is - a body catcher. It's more a confidence thing. He has it in him. But he isn't a "natural" hands catcher so it'll always rear its head at the worst times. Bryce throws with a lot of anticipation. So he's throwing to a spot. Receivers will have to be confident catching outside of their body.

Except Penix has top tier skill position talent, the kick that was missed was a 57 yarder, and the Atlanta defense is 10X better than Carolina's.

He's still a baller but those team similarities are not the same.

Nothing I said was incorrect or twisting any kind of truth. Penix did not cause the Falcons to lose, which is exactly the position people have been making about Bryce for weeks now. It's the same thing and the only point I was making.

I thought Penix played very well... He made a couple of great throws, avoided pressure well enough, and had only a few mistakes. Honestly looks like a promising player for the Falcons.

If I were to play the odds and factor in the past around here….I’m deemed a Bryce hater today.  Lot of the same folks will call me a Bryce apologist next year when they swing the other way when he hits a stretch of not meeting their expectations.   These dances have been danced.

Or in other words, you seem like you're just always trying really hard to take the contrarian/unpopular stance at any given moment.  If consensus is high on Bryce, you become a critic.  If consensus is low on Bryce, you become an apologist.  Like you see yourself as some noble counterbalancing force to temper sentiment around here.  Not sure if that's a mod thing or what.

We just put up 44 points in a W against a hated divisional rival in their stadium to end their season with playoff aspirations on the line...behind a dominant performance by our much-maligned sophomore #1 overall QB who just put an exclamation point on what, by all accounts, was an impossible redemption arc.  Yeah I think calling him a top 10 QB is rather hyperbolic, but if you'd rather go all "Ackchyually" guy meme than to "Huddle" up (pun intended) in excitement around a thrilling season finale, it's just an odd way to invest your time and energy IMO.

Saying I think some people are going TOO FAR on some of the Bryce talk isn't being contrarian for the sake of it.   Nor will saying people are now going to TOO FAR the other direction if he makes them bad next year if he comes out the first several games looking more like Giants Bryce than the season finale Bryce

I just say what I think.   But yeah, if I think Frank Reich is a bad hire I say it.  Which I did.  That's not a contrarian position.  But I'm then not going to scapegoat Frank for every problem under the sun when everyone turns on him for all our problems.

I just talk football how I see it.  I give zero poos about anyone agreeing.

on a largely unrelated note, I feel that has faded of late.  Not a Carolina inspired thing but just overall.  I think all the teams are lacking the type dudes that really make you feel that.    Really need some incident or a surge of a holes being added to the south lol.

Does the player matter when it was essentially a convo about it being unrealistic to expect several really good games over a long stretch of starts?

its clearly not made up.  Its game logs from a handful of starts in a rookie season.   Which was basically a host of games like yesterday from a QB in just part of a season.  Cherry picking and finding good games is what you can do for everyone that eventually plays a lot.  We could add that dude this offseason if we wanted.   Any team could.

point is not to get too carried away yet.  He is still a very inconsistent young player

Yes, of course it matters if you're going to cite historical examples to prove a point and then not say who you're talking about. Unless your source is "trust me, bro."
