I think with the Falcons the offensive strategy worked, I just don't think they were prepared for us to get a TD on almost every possession. More of a clock management chess match

I bet they averaged 10+ypc on power runs to the right. They were doing it at will. But for some reason they didn't just keep doing it. It was bizarre.

Some good NFC storylines:

-KOC vs. his old HC in LA

-Likely ROTY vs. Redemption (WAS v. TB)

-Eagles vs. Packers, finally without injuries (They never seem to play at full strength - I.E. Rypien game)

For the AFC, it's basically, can the Bills or Ravens take on KC? Can LAC play spoiler? And that's about it haha.

Honestly, I think the Bills are the best team in the league. But the best team doesn't always win the SB. Just feels like KC has had every lucky break fall their way and at some point it feels like those types of teams usually run out of luck. As great as Lamar is, I'll believe in playoffs Lamar once he puts together a couple of good playoff games in a row. There has historically been a massive Gulf of difference between regular season Lamar and playoffs Lamar.

Well those of us that watched Darnold play in NY and here knew that it was unlikely he would fully turn the page on what held him back from being a franchise QB despite having every tool needed. When things get tough he panics and reverts to the same old same old. It's on tape over and over and over.

But still even some Panthers fans here have bought into the hype this season. Even had a guy here who just started posting in September dig up some posts of me criticizing Darnold for a game just like this saying I was wrong about him. @Joe Bear you watching the game buddy?

You're flexing because the QB of a 14-3 team had a bad game in a loss to a 15-2 team? Seriously? 😂

Definitely truth there about Lamar and BAL.  The AFC is KC's playground unless Allen or Lamar can overcome it.  I'm enjoying BUF this year, but KC just wins.  And Mahomes in the playoffs is the new Brady.  He just can't be denied.

Although, I think KC's biggest poison could be this LAC squad in the DIV round.  HOU seems to be limping in and just has too many holes right now.  But the Chargers stack up well and know how to play in KC.  Hope BAL-BUF happens in the DIV round.

Think it'd be fun to see a KC-BUF AFCC (Allen finally beats KC in the big one) and a DET-LAR rematch NFCC (That high scorer this season felt like a premonition).

BUF-DET The Battle of Lake Erie.  Sorry Browns lol.

Just a week ago it was you doing the flexing on behalf of that 14-3 QB now suddenly it's a problem to talk about him having his worst game since his time with the Jets heading into the playoffs. Bit hypocritical.

    • yeah, Canales nor Bryce really offer what that show wants.   We would have to be bringing a lot to the table given we are a small market team.  We just don't have the personalities.  XL just ain't enough
    • I am the same way--look back at the draft history of the Panthers and see how many fourth rounders stuck--While I agree that we need all the picks we have to address needs, backup QB is a VERY IMPORTANT need.  While people do not want to spend a draft pick on a QB--I think the best value in round 4 might be QB.  Besides, backups cost more cap room than a mid round rookie--so what you lose in the draft you gain in free agency.  We have coaches who have developed QBs--and other players.  Let them do their work.  The concept that a third year QB needs a mentor is myth.  They can develop just as much by mentoring a rookie--and there are these things called coaches (often former QBs) who can do that. THIS DRAFT has some strong, developmental QBs that should be available in rounds 3 and 4.  The Pats drafted Brady when they had Bledsoe--same thing.  I want my backup QB trying to win a starting gig, not looking to stave off Shady Acres.
    • Definitely want a guy you can count on for a few games who gives the team a chance to win--I see that perspective.  My view is the backup needs to be competing and developing for 3 years from now, when Bryce may be a mediocre QB asking for $80m.  In addition, his success has been a relatively short stretch; we don't know if old Bryce might return.  I would like to be grooming a backup to be an NFL starter (here or elsewhere) than keeping a guy out of retirement.   But there is benefit to any approach, and what I like probably matters little--Cousins behind RGIII, Brady was drafted when Bledsoe was a big name, The Niners drafted Purdy when they were grooming Lance, etc.  If you sign a 38-year old veteran, you don't develop the backup QB.  Here, we seem to be able to develop QBs (Coach has the rep for developing QBs), so I would like to see us prepare for an uncertain future and use the talents we have on the staff.
