He just seems destined for the tag. If you're the Vikings you definitely don't want to let him walk for a 3rd round comp pick and you haven't seen enough from the guy you just drafted in the 1st to feel comfortable he's your guy either.

Yeah, I think it's like a $40M tag...He'll have at least one playoff game to redeem this performance but that's gonna be a tough call for the Vikings. Risk letting him walk or just coughing up that much for a one year possible bridge

Goff is a second tier QB, IMO. The Cousins/Ryan bracket. But is Achilles heel has been producing when the lights are bright.

Darnold is a backup QB.

Imagine averaging 7ypc running the ball and yet you're passing 2:1 with Sam Darnold. 32 passing attempts vs. 16 rushes.

Then factor in that there's been a sack and a scramble so it's really 34 called pass plays vs. 15 called running plays. This is criminal level play calling idiocy.
