the draft is both predictable and unpredictable. a lot can change from now until april. undisclosed injuries discovered, measurables not living up, deeper tape study on these prospects. Every year some guys move up the ladder and go down. so anything is possible!

Nobody expected Star Lotulelei to make it to the Panthers in '13. At the end of the '12 college season, every mock had him top-3.

Falling from #6 to #8 is the equivalent of losing a mid-3rd round pick.

Who cares. If you can’t find a good player because you’re picking two spots worse you shouldn’t be a GM.

 Culture is far more important.

That's what I've heard several times during late season wins during the Tepper era. Draft capital is real and measurable. Moral victories are fleeting. That's just reality.

And I bet you can’t even remember what spots the Panthers were supposed to be picking in had they not won.

And we've seen year after year good teams picking great players late and bad teams taking bad players early.

    • I think in all honestly, the final 2 games are carrying most of the weight in a lot of Bryce talk IMO.    During the window where he "blew it out of the water" window......were a lot of games where he was not above average.  AZ is largely one of those stat sheet games.   Where the stat sheet reflects QB play that didn't exist in the game.  That game was all Chuba.  Meh vs Dallas.  Meh vs Philly.  Meh vs Giants.  Probably average vs Tampa, Den, Saints.  Bryce made HUGE strides vs what he was.  We should be happy.   But when you start comparing him to the rest of the league.....people I think are going too far.  His best aspect in reality.....is his scrambling.  And that's probably not a great thing give his size.
    • Mays and Zavala looked lost in the Reich offense.  Granted Zalava was probably playing too soon due to injuries but he looked terrible.  This new staff seems to be doing well with our OL.  I also wonder if having two vets in Hunt and Lewis just made life that much easier on whoever was/is playing center.
    • What the Panthers should target in order (via free agency or via trade): 1. Julian Blackmon  2. Mike Hilton 3. Jaire Alexander 4. Jalen Ramsey
