The truth probably lies somewhere in the middle.

Will be interesting if the Vikings let him walk if he can replicate the success. Because whatever team signs him will definitely be worse than the Vikings talent-wise.

KOC has had his guys outperforming expectations every year on the job.  He's a very very good coach.

Darnold also stopped making the "Darnold" mistakes.  He's really grown with that offense, JJ/Addison and the playcalling aside.  

And that defense with Metellus, Murphy, Greenard, & VG has been strong.  

They're a team I wouldn't mind seeing make a run.  Fun offense, fun defense, great coaching, on the up and up.

Darnold is a nice story although I still see the bad Sam moments from time to time. That Green Bay game, for example, had the bad interception and generally shaky play near the end of the game. Also, Vikings are generally great at surrounding their QB with great offensive pieces, which has helped prior Vikings QBs like Kirk Cousins. But you're supposed to give your QB what they need to succeed, however. Darnold didn't have that at all with the Jets. He had a few okay pieces here which is why he had some good stretches but had some stinkers as well. If Darnold's smart, I'd not go nuts with whatever money he's going to demand, so he can keep most of the good pieces around him.

There's no way they can let him walk. They're going to pay him $50 million, it would be wild if he went full Daniel Jones next season.

Steve b put up monster stats for the panthers offense was best its ever been under him he holds severalof the panthers best qb in a season records.  He just got his chance to shine too late in life played well after he left also but injuries and age caught up.

Canalas should be considered qb whisperer with how young when from horriffic to a passable nfl qb.

I know this topic has been more about other coaches but I agree. Young was horrendous in the beginning but Canales woke him up, st him for awhile and put him back in the lineup and has played well. Young still has a lot of improving to do but is definitely trending up.
