He's not exactly going to be taking a defender out of the play because they have to leave a spy on him like you're saying, but he's also going to take advantage of that when a play breaks down like we saw vs. Arizona.

Ideally you want your QB to be able to use their legs situationally and certainly have good scrambling ability. That was something that was on his tape in college. He moved around and made something out of nothing often. But you do not want to make a habit out of him running in the open field with the ball for a number of reasons. That's all I've been saying.

Bryce seems to be getting comfortable in this offense and it shows. The anticipation of some of the throws he’s been making since his benching are top tier. Our offensive system was atrocious last year. Bryce finally figured something out and has given everyone reason to be excited heading into year 3

Now it’s on this front office to surround him with proper talent. Just like all the other franchise QB’s have the luxury of

On the other end there were fans and media talking heads who just "knew" CJ Stroud wasn't a natural leader because some anonymous source said so and because he didn't attend Peyton Manning's QB camp.

Why can't multiple things be true at the same time? 

Every qb needs help. Mahomes had no elite wr and has looked pedestrian this year. Stroud had no o line and hasn't looked as good. Brees had a great o line and some stud wr. Qbs need help. 

Young has improved. This gives some people hope and optimism and they have found stats to quantify what they have seen with their own eyes. 

Some people will not like Bryce no matter what he does. He could walk on water ( why can't he run? Too short???) Turn water into wine ( ugh who likes wine. Turn it into beer short stuff) and resurrect ( psh why did he die in the first place) and they still wouldn't be happy. 

Some people choose optimism over misery. Some people don't. 

It is what it is

To me Bryce has improved. I am optimistic. He has had some rough spots ( dallas) but he has bounced back and has passed the eye test. He has a great o line. He does not have an elite wr. But I am optimistic both the qb and wr will improve

Diminishing? No Goff is the PERFECT example of why ALL Qbs need help around them it's no coincidence that he's playing at "elite" level when he has talent around him but I guess Bryce doesn't get that same benefit of the doubt
