Bryce Young post benching if it were a full season worth of stats.

Why is this all you want to talk about?

If we have to surround Bryce with elite talent across the board just to get him to scratch the surface of a Teddy Bridgewater then we keep looking.

Not elite just standard NFL talent our current crew is bottom of the barrel. So if you're looking for a QB to carry this entire team yea keep looking because he doesn't exist lol

We had these same discussions even with Cam. When it comes down to it what a QB does with his arm is more important if you want to win a championship. And that's not even mentioning the fact that Bryce running the ball the way he did against Arizona is not even the slightest bit sustainable for reasons that are extremely obvious.

By that standard Cam had Teddy numbers too.

Half the team is complete ass so we could afford to put maulers in front of Bryce Young. Nobody is asking for him to carry the team. But next season we have to see him maximize opportunities and not just when things go well but when the chips are down too.

There is a very wide gap between the two in terms of arm talent.

Cam never got his accuracy down until the end. If he had he would be having a different conversation about that. It is what it is.

Numbers are numbers, now you want to talk about arm talent. Accuracy and anticipation too you know. But when it’s about Bryce you don’t want to hear about how he’s different from Teddy as a playmaker type of QB

"When things go well" hahaha when has things went well since he's been here?? Bryce has done very well with the bad situation he's in.

We have gone from "rushing TDs have to be included for the Panthers' starting QB" to "rushing TDs don't count for the Panthers' starting QB."

One holds the record for rushing TD's for a QB the other is smaller than some high school QB's.

If Bryce succeeds in the NFL it will be as a passer.

Not sure I see the issue with only looking at the numbers after he became the starter again after his benching. He sat, learned etc. and now we want to see if something changed. Hence we will measure the new period post benching. This is common practice and used all the time.

what is common practice and used all the time? analyzing a player at an arbitrary point? He looked as bad against Dallas as he did at any point in 2023. Doesn't that obliterate the narrative that he's a changed QB since he was benched?

announcers were harping on him being a "new qb" at halftime of the denver game. that game opened with bryce throwing a 6 down TD pass on a drive where he had 32 whole yards, then went 7/10 for 25 yards across the next four possesion. Managed 1 first down during that, and just like the Tampa Bay game the game was put out of reach.

but that didn't stop the fox announcing crew from reading from the script they'd been handed about how he was a "changed" qb, how he looked "more confident" and was "smiling" or whatever stupid bullshit. I remember howie long couldn't even look at the camera while he said it.

you people are such goddamn marks with this "post benching" nonsense. just proving the easiest way to scam people is to sell them something they desperately want to believe anyway.

I mean we've long discussed the fact that Cam did not live up to his outrageous phsyical traits as a passer because he never put his game together fully in that area. He didn't perfect the fundamentals. But anyone with eyes when putting his name next to Bridgewater should be able to tell the glaring difference between the two.

Bryce Young is one of the smallest starting QB's in the league. We drafted him to be a passing point guard who would elevate those around him. That's all we heard predraft. That's how he will succeed in this league if it is to happen.
