Bryce Young post benching if it were a full season worth of stats.

Hypothetical bull poo.

💩

It’s not a hypothetical, it’s worse. Hypothetical is a proposition based on suppositions. If x happened, then y.

this is pure revisionism and idiocy. “If we remove 19% of the data then project what’s left to 190% of the original remaining sample we get blah

I’d make a snarky comment about confidence intervals but the OP (and whoever wrote the original tweet) clearly wouldn’t get it.

Incredibly stupid to include the rush stats in with the passing stats, just separate them out and then project. Also let’s see yards per attempt. That passer rating is still bottom of the league. He’s not a good QB, people who still think he’ll be our franchise guy are blind

Not sure I see the issue with only looking at the numbers after he became the starter again after his benching. He sat, learned etc. and now we want to see if something changed. Hence we will measure the new period post benching. This is common practice and used all the time. I understand you are bitter, but good grief man.

Technically it is 23 TDs to 11 INTs if you remove the rushing TDs and I think about 3500 yards which is still an improvement.
Even the broadcasts during the 2015 season separated Cams rushing TDs to his throwing TDs.

If you would have told me this would be his second year numbers after the disastrous rookie season I would have taken it as promising sign of development. Of course this means he’s about half a season behind on that trajectory which he will need to make up next year.  I hope he does the things this offseason to ensure a fast start next year when expectations will be higher.

If they wouldn’t have benched him, he would have been traded by the deadline. No way would he have improved, that was some of the worst qb play I have ever seen. Something clicked for him when he got benched, saved his career.

Just shows QB development is not a linear path especially when you’re on badly run organizations. Credit to Morgan and Canales for benching him.

When you are threatened to be fired it can either light a fire under you or you continue continuing as normal because you see nothing you did was wrong.
Bryce seems to have responded to the benching as the former.

Big time credit, but I still don’t think he’s the guy. Looking forward to see what happens next year if he can take the next step.
