see dallas last season, we are unable to beat the NFC east on the road for the last 3-4 years until the giants game last season. Our record against the NFC East is terrible (2-9 over last few years) with only wins against them coming last season (@ NY, home against Washington) see below

0-4 vs. Dallas (1 away, 3 home))

1-2 vs. NY (2 away, 1 home)

0-2 vs Philly (1 away, 1 home)

1-2 vs. Washington (1 away, 1 home)

they want to give the giants the best chance they can to win at home in the new stadium, we fit the bill. throw in the humiliating, playoff dream shattering, ass kicking we gave them end of last season, it makes for good ratings.
