Besides brown who is another impact player coming back?

Like as of Sunday? Chubba, Horn, Moton. But it’s not just impact players, when you have your depth guys out it can hurt you just as much because then you’re activating practice squad LBs to be starters. That drop off is prob worse than starters to second string.

They have played almost the entirety of the year so I am not really following your logic.  Brown I get.  I am asking what players that have missed substantial time this season who will be back making an impact?  Theres like one.

This roster? Assuming you mean current active players, no absolutely not but with injuries coming back draft and FA I’m going 8-9 next year

That is if everything works out perfectly in the offseason. You know that's not happening. If they're lucky the will get 2 starters from the draft. Being starters does not indicate they are good. Probably most of the starters will come from FA with what little money they have. There's not much to indicate that they have the money or knowhow ro get enough quality starters to make a difference. Doubling the win total would be ideal but given the complete lack of talent overall they would have to hit a homerun on every move. That ain't happening.

That’s why I asked to clarify. Shaq prob isn’t back next year, but for this year that was a huge loss. We’re elevating no name dudes to play LB

Not too bad. 6 winnable games there just at home. Take 4 there and Jets, Bears, Cardinals on the road. Yes easier said than done, but I could see us getting to 8

I mean we can play this game.  And kept in mind Young has never won a true road game.

Home:

Rams - L

Giants - W

Saints - W

ATL - toss

Tampa - L

Fins - L

Bills -L

hawks - L

So 2/3 wins at home?  Not sure where you are seeing 6.  Again as we stand today

We have dropped, what, 3 one score games this year? While playing Andy Dalton for 5 games? The way Bryce is playing now we win one of those Andy games. I don’t think you have to hit a home run on EVERY move to get to 8 wins. The current young guys will get better, say that’s good for 1 win. Our rookie HC gets better and one of the 3 one score losses we win, that’s 1 win. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to think we can then get better over the offseason to account for 2 more wins.

optimistic take, yes I know, but isn’t unreasonable imo

I don’t know where you’re seeing 6 either as I pretty clearly said 4. The only sure losses on that list are bills and rams

My bad I was referring to the winnable 6 part.  Yeah you didnt say my bad.  Yeah its probably best case scenario things break our way 6 but thats a long shot imo.  Some heavy hitters on offense rolling through next year.  Tampa, bills, miami

You cannot count on that as a bench mark. Every season is a new team and new circumstances in play. All 3 of those teams will be improved as well so you cannot say the outcome would be similar if you play them again. Every season is it's own unique story that you cannot predict how it will play out.

Yeah that’s fair, 6 would def be optimistic but I like what I’ve seen last quarter of the year so I’ll keep my head in the clouds we can get to 4. I think Canales having a year of experience is good for at least 2 more wins next year

Why are you in a thread about next years win/loss record if your take is “you cannot predict how it will play out”?

Other teams and players improve as well.  We are not in a vacuum
