8-8 just like last year

Good or Bad, last year means nothing.

"OMYGAWWWD, We destroyed the Giants, Almost beat the Saints,"

Come on guys' if you have watched more than one NFL season, especially, more than one panther season. Then you should know that anything you expect to happen, usually doesnt.

The only team I know is going to be really good and make the playoffs is the Colts.

Because they have Peyton.

I don’t understand why some of you are so down on the team this year, yes they let some of our favorite players go this year but we still have a very good team. Let’s see what happens in the draft and how they address the rest of our needs after the draft before we have this type of doom and gloom. Right now why don’t you try for some optimism and excitement for the new season and feed the team with that kind of energy. It’s been shown to us that some of the players have read the Huddle, which would you rather they do live up to our expectations or down?

the 49ers aren't the same bottom ranked team they had been for a while. on a good day their defense is rough, and alex smith to vernon davis was a force last year. they could beat us, or we could beat them. i think we'd be the favorite going in, unless we just stink next year, but it's not in the books.

On the NFLN, they had a schedule release, pre-draft playoff prediction segment and the consensus was the 49ers win the NFC West this year.

9-7 and on the cusp of the playoffs. I'm not sure 9-7 will get the job done, though. I say we just miss the playoffs. Fox will keep his job because it's hard to justify firing a coach with a winning record despite missing the playoffs.

why does everyone say you are doom and gloom if you are not predicting the panthers to win the Superbowl? all the "doom and gloomers" are saying is lets not count our chickens before they hatch.

theres a difference btw being a playoff team and winning the super bowl. you don't have to not predict the panthers to be in the SB to be a doom and gloomer. Its ridiculous to say this team is only a 6 win team when they haven't even played a down, and have yet to finalize a freaking roster for the 2010 season. its down right idiotic.

So far I'm seeing a trend: We split with the Falcons, sweep the Bucs, get swept by the Saints and win the 4 games Browns-Cardinals. The Rams are about the only other win agreed upon. The agreed loses (other than division mentioned) are the Steelers and Ravens. So apparently there are only 4 games that most can't agree on, the 49ers, Giants, Bengals, Bears. Those four games are the difference in most predictions.

haven't we all learned that you can't predict a panthers W-L just by looking at the schedule? I'm sure most people had straight L's for the last games of the season for us coming into it, but we won those..and how many people wrote down buffalo as a W automatically..

This can go both ways. For those predicting 10,11 or more wins is... well in your words "it's down right idiotic"

3rd in division and of course, no playoffs and adios to fox and friends.

If we don't make some moves before the end of training camp, I can see this easily coming true.

that is very possible. all it takes is winning 3 more games though and we go 11-5. i don't know that we lose both saints games. we almost always split with our divisional opponents. the steelers are in a bit of disarray, so that could be a win. we could beat either the bengals or 49ers on a good day.

then again, we could lose both falcons games. we could lose against the cardinals or the bears on a bad day. i think it's really up in the air. we could have a losing season, or get a first round playoff bye.

this, an it is way too hard to even try and look at the schedule and count W's and L's. It is every year because you dont know who the surprise gem is and who the surprise dud is. It is even harder this year because we have no idea what this team can do. Also there is allot of holes left to fill. I admit though i tried to count them as well because i always do but i know i have no idea. when counting them all you can do is guess by using last years team and we are not even close to last years team, will that be better or worse is still to be determined....
