I'm not gonna plant a flag and go around bragging about having a better ran organization than anyone considering we've lost more games than everyone since Tepper has bought the team and it looks like we may have let two franchise QBs slip through our fingers when we literally had them on the roster. That recent Jets story about Madden awareness ratings was pretty damn hilarious but let's be honest, substitute Johnson and the Jets for Tepper and the Panthers and would literally anyone have been the least but surprised? LOL

That was the primary point of this thread. The Bryce stans get all defensive but it was a lot less about Bryce and a lot more about just the utter mismanagement of this organization under David Tepper. Bryce isn't the disease he's just yet another of the litany of symptoms.

Let's go over the development and peak of an NFL QB again.

28 to 32 for QBs who get to their first conference championship game. 30 years or older for QBs who win their first SB. Darnold and Mayfield are just now entering this zone, and we'll likely see them play each other in the wildcard round.

Drafting a QB in the top 20 picks is a luxury for teams that are already built for the playoffs like Roethlisberger and Mahomes. Rebuilding teams like the Panthers or Bears will just be farming up QBs for the rest of the league to insert when they near 28 years.

The Colts didn't make it to a championship game with Manning until he was 27, and won a championship game when he was 30.

The Panthers gave up on Newton at 29, Allen at 23, Bridgewater at 28, Darnold at 25, and Mayfield at 27. Jake Delhomme's peak was 28 to 33. Newton wasn't allowed to reach his peak.

Young QBs need to be carried to win, and they will consistently lose out to the 30 year old veteran QBs in the playoffs.

Build a contender around a 28+ year QB for 3 to 4 years, and then insert a 1st round QB if the the vet QB can't win in the playoffs.

This lesson on the QB position has been a constant for decades.

We are currently, I agree. But following the Baker and Sam story, logic would say we need to build up this offense and not be so quick to move on from QBs.

To clarify, I said he was my 1A and Stroud was my 1B and that it would ultimately come down to the interview process that were obviously not privy to.
