After opening drive TD, panthers went 3 and out 3 straight times

The Panthers roam, but find no prey,

Lost in the woods, they stray and sway,

Once feared, now just a shadow's trace,

Fumbling through the endless race.

The offense sputters, like a dying flame,

No spark, no fire, everyone to blame-

The quarterback, with hopes once high,

Now throws the ball just to watch it fly.

The defense stiffens, yet they bend,

Unable to break the losing trend.

The roar of the crowd turns into sighs,

As each new loss falls from the skies.

Another season of struggle, just 3 wins to claim,

And yet, the team plays on the same-

With hearts of hope, but minds unclear,

The Panthers chase the end of the year.

Oh, Carolina, where did you go?

The strength you had, the fire, the flow-

Now all we see if a team that fights,

But can't seem to find the winning heights.

Still, the fans hold on, though worn and torn,

For next year's hope will soon be born.

In this cruel dance, we wait, we cry,

For the Panthers to roar again, up to the sky.

Is this Ked Woodley's new that I heard rumor he was dropping on us?

We didn’t.

Bucs kicked field goals on their second and third drive.

Crazy thing is Mayfield was deadly accurate today, but both of those drives capped off by FGs he had guys open in the end zone and simply missed them.  The score actually could have been worse.

But for us to make it competitive and win we needed TDs. That is how dire the situation is on defense. We’re on our 3rd string back who’s a KR.

The defense had two stops in them before getting gassed and breaking completely. Even then they only got them because the field was short and could tighten up.

Meanwhile the Giants drop 45 points including 5 touchdowns from Lock and a 100 yard return from a WR we dumped.

Also meanwhile the Kenny Pickett lead Eagles just dropped 41 points on the Cowboys.   The same Cowboys that throttled us.  I don't want to hear crap about our 'close losses' to good teams anymore.  People can't crow about how we ALMOST beat the Eagles and Chiefs then ignore the blowouts we suffer while teams that crush us get floor wiped by backup QBs, a bad one at that in the case of Pickett.

Oh wow I saw the score but didn't check on the actual game. Who the hell is Tanner McKee? 3 passing touchdowns between two jag backups.

Overall I agree with you. And given what we invested in our OL in the offseason it is absolutely pitiful we have found ourselves maxing out at 14 points more often than not.

It’s easy for a backup to look good for a game or two when there’s no film on them running that particular offense. Or sometimes a good game just happens. I‘m sure we all remember the beginning of Kyle Allen and Matt Moore. Everyone in the NFL is capable for the most part, even backup QBs. The difference is there’s no way they can sustain it over the course of a season, which is why they’re backups. There was growth in those games we played and almost won.

Yeah even worse when you realize the Bucs pass defense is ranked 31st.

If there's one valid criticism of Canales, it's him deciding to get overly pass happy which is exactly what he did after that opening drive. I get it. We don't have Chuba or Moton but the Bucs were playing as though we would pass every down and we played right into their hands, not only putting more pressure on a compromised O-line but also forcing our defense to play a lot more minutes that they simply could not afford to do on any day but especially today without Horn.

I would hope he learns not to do this next season but every coach in the NFL has a bad tendency and this may be the one we're stuck with going forward.

Canales has gotten away from the run consistently all season.   I still don’t think he is anywhere close enough to be being good enough to be pulling double duty.  We should hire a legit OC.  Let him focus on being HC.

It's almost like QB situations and surroundings matter
