T-Mac on a rookie deal plus an expensive pass rusher in FA will have a much bigger impact on the team than overpaying for a WR with a lower ceiling than T-Mac and drafting a bit of a project pass rusher.

Which is why you don't trade up for an injured RB. Not only was he overdrafted, we traded away other picks for him. You'd think they learned from selling the farm for Bryce, yet they do dumb poo again. 

5-7 round flyer on Brooks, absolutely. What we paid?  Hell no!

If someone's biggest wish is Robert Saleh, I wouldn't think they were crazy.

That’s not true. The Giants paid Burns too much but trade wise you have Burns, Young and Sweat all going for 2nd to 4th. Cost wise, guys like Judon, Smith, Floyd, Clowney, Greenard, Ginkel, Fowler, Van Noy and others were available the past few years for reasonable deals. Even at the top Hunter signed a two year deal with Houston for $49M which will probably be less than Higgins gets. Greenard was also a top FA and he signed for $19M a year.

I haven't looked too hard at potential DCs yet. I know Jim Schwartz Is a potentially solid option if the Browns clean house but they may want to keep him.

Definitely wouldn't call all of those guys premier pass rushers.

You can't really know if Tet McMillan has a higher ceiling than Higgins. You're speculating. That being said, I'd take my chances with your approach. It's going to come down to whether or not they think Carter is more valuable than McMillan. I couldn't say it, but I'm not in the FO.

Signing WR Godwin from the Bucs, Drafting WR McMillan or TE Colston Loveland, draft best Center in round 2, and sign this man in FA to help set up our many draft picks round 3 and below that will be spend on defense:

While the Dallas Cowboys' season has fallen off the rails as injuries have piled up, Odighizuwa has stayed the course and played some of the best ball of his career over the second half of the campaign. The 2021 third-round pick is quietly one of the more underrated defenders across the entire NFL.
