Probably time for a new kicker

Kicking in the NFL isn't what it used to be teams seem to change kickers fairly often the guys who are rock solid on the same team for years and years are very rare. But from my perspective we definitely seem to be one of the few teams that it just isn't clicking for. Other teams generally don't seem to be this inept in this area. I had forgot Eddie had the fuging audacity to try and skip OTA's for an extension and we are keeping him around for no reason in what has long been a lost season anyways. Why is he still here? Send this dude out of town on a rail already.

Pineiro isn't a bad kicker, but I also don't think he's a long-term answer.

I've been hoping for quite a while that we'd luck into one of those late round kickers that can hold down that spot for the next ten years or so.

Maybe it's just me but kickers nowadays seem to be more interchangeable.

He’s playing hurt.

Will they bring in competition, mos def.

but he’s not healthy.

I did read an article recently that said there's been almost 50 kickers that have made a kick this season so far because so many have been injured. Wonder if we're sticking with Eddy because of the difficulties trying to find another live leg out there.

Eddy is playing hurt so I give him credit for trying but the team should definitely look to bring in a kicker with a stronger leg this offseason. Eddy's max range is slightly over 50 yards which in the modern NFL just isn't good enough. You need a guy who has the power to make a 60 yard FG for end of half and end of game situations.
