XL looks good except for being able to catch, which of course is the WR’s #1 Job. He doesn’t look lost like AD Mitchell or odunze

Earlier in the season I felt like he made some great catches but missed some easy ones. As time went on, he seemed to have more and more trouble, which I think corresponds to injuries and perhaps exhaustion. Not saying he's gonna be great, just that I want to see another year of him.

I do think we have a Serious problem with WR talent eval and development tho. We miss on virtually every WR somehow.

It is highly unlikely he ever becomes top 7 in this class, TBH. It's a strong class and he is not a strong player.

He is also near last in that group in drops and catch %.

Again, it isn't just stats, he struggles with aspects of his game that a lot of these guys don't.

You've simply always been a hater. Give the kid some slack. You're basing all of your opinions on an imperfect rookie year based on really nothing but your opinion. "Oh, he'll never be top seven..." I've seen something like, "I just don't think people here realize how bad he's been..." Come on, man, it's his rookie year.

Yeah that’s all available data lmao like what the fug else is he supposed to look at

Do serious and credible analysts base their opinions on a player's rookie year, much less a player at a so-called skill position?

To each his own. Keep that same energy as X improves.

We judge a player based off their play. If all they have as far as history is their rookie year, that's all we have to go of of. BUT we all include the fact that he's a rookie in our minds and analysis. We hope he gets better. Im not standing on the side of he is a bust and i don't think anyone is. As he improves so will the general opinion of said player.

Crapping on X, while babying a #1 overall is embarrassing, but peak huddle

Yeah, the Panthers are the #30 O and the #30 pass O.  Basically any rookie WR is going to have built in lower production as a product of being here.   While Bryce is improving this pass attack is still very weak and non-threatening (which a lot of that is the QB and playcalling).

Hence why I said he is better suited to being a backup/4th guy. Let him attempt to develop in that role. He is a driver killer extraordinaire in a 1-3 role.

Heckuva day 1 and day 2 in the last draft.

Legette is a jump ball specialist he was never going to be a seperation or YAC guy. Route running was actually one his knocks against him coming in.

Which is ironic because it's mainly his hands and jumping at the catch point, sometimes unnecessarily, that's letting him down a little bit. He's not great at route running, but the graph really shows that he's middle of the pack. He's actually running better routes than people thought that he could. It is my thought that the coaches need to put him into better positions to succeed, he and Bryce need to focus on developing better chemistry, and Legette needs to get on the JUGS machine religiously.
