why did they do this? the giants are going to be steaming mad! i'm scared!

it would've been better to have the game in the middle of the season, after they've cooled down some and gotten a couple wins in their stadium.

This game makes me VERY nervous.

There is no way that entire organization is not going to be putting every single resource into beating us.

We gave them the most royal of beat downs in the closing game of their stadium in front of their most die hard fans and greatest players in the history of the franchise.

I see this team having far more motivation to win this game than us.

However, if we give them a beat down in the closing game of their old stadium, and the opening game of the new stadium. That would be the most AMAZING bragging right any teams fans could ask for. If I was at that game I would buy all the sad fans beers out of pity.

this could ruin our whole underdog mentality this season. we whooped the giants. we'll probably be the underdog coming into the game from a betting stance, but mentally everyone is going to expect us to win. and, you know what happens when we're expected to win. everything is against us in this game. good teams don't just get whooped and then lose the next meeting, especially with all the hype surrounding it. if we go 1-0 it would be one of the greatest wins in panther history.

Seriously I will be very confident in this team if they can beat the giants after what happened last year.

you guys aren't gonna believe this, but the giants fans at the giants.com forum are hardly even talking about our game with them next season. there's only one thread i saw specifically for that, and it only had 9 or so replies. one person in it said it was anticlimactic for us to play them in their stadium opener. half the people in the 2010 schedule thread don't want to play us in the opener. they were hoping for a division rival. i think our opening game with them was probably only mentioned in a dozen comments on the whole board. maybe not a lot of people visit it. i don't know. i thought they would be way more hyped for this thing. it could be a good sign.

Well, they were not talking about our game with them last season either.....and we see how that played out.

We bitch slapped them to close their stadium. Now, we will continue the beating to open the new stadium.

That has been true in the past, but I think it's one of the reason's that the organization has gone through a youth movement. At least this season anyways, all of the players we have seem like they are eager to get out there and prove themselves.

I guarantee you you will get 100% from everyone on this team on week 1. But yes it will be a very tough game, especially with their backfield and o-line at 100%. If we win this opener, given the atmosphere, I won't be too worried about the season.

      People looking at the offense negatively need to step back a minute and remember that expectations were mighty low this year. We have a lot of young guys and rookies. And our qb is a newby in the system he is in with a new coach who has never been a head coach and signal caller combined.  This is a work in progress so only an approach which recognizes incremental improvement is valid for best measuring where we are versus  demanding immediate success after a 2-15 campaign last year.
