MHJ and Trey McBride are meh weapons? Lol I would hate to see what you call Adam Theilen and Jalen Coker hahaha

MHJ has not been good this year, certainly not up to his draft expectations. Catch rate of 50% and a whopping 726 yards on 51 receptions.

Here it is in a nutshell:

Bryce bad=horrible team effort, Bryce did all he could Daniel Radcliffe Reaction GIF

Bryce good= Look at what a great QB! He won in spite of his scrub team mates. Excited Pumped Up GIF by UFC

You’re suggesting Bryce hasn’t received an appropriate amount of backlash for his play since he was drafted? The guy was trounced for over a year by pretty much everyone. Even Bryce believers were ready to move on after his first starts this year.

If this season--with Cousins sucking in Atlanta, Darnold and Sam doing well in their playoff races, Rodgers sucking in NY---does not teach us anything about the role of coaching (system, play calling), weaponry (WRs, RBs, and TEs) and protection (OL, good defense) in QB play, nothing will.

This thread is full of “Yeah, but”.

Just be glad the guy played great. I’ll take three touchdowns and no turnovers any week of the year. We don’t need to move the goalposts further every time he plays well anymore than we shorten them when he doesn’t.

I've posted this in another thread but I will repeat it here. The sooner you accept that Bryce will be your QB1 for the next 10 or so years the better off you'll be. No matter how much crying you do on this forum isn't going to change that fact lol. There are SEVERAL positions that need upgrading before you get to the QB position. And for everyone calling him a "game manager" imma let you in on a little secret.....95% of the QBs in the NFL are game managers with maybe 3-4 game changers (Lamar Allen Pat and MAYBE Burrow) So the chances of finding a player like that is slim to NONE. We will continue to build this team with Bryce as the QB whether you like it or not.

The Chiefs aren't playing good football, but yet they keep beating teams in the end...and they're 14-1?

Tell us you don't watch much Chiefs football without saying you don't watch much Chiefs football...

I live in KC and have watched a lot of their season. Their offense has been very middling much of the year and is coming around right when the defense has started flagging. They still haven't scored more than 30 in a game. They are winning, yes, and that is what good team do, but man is it ugly.

I would not trade Coker, a UDFA, for Harrison, a top/five pick.

But...but...but...he su...sucks?  Good sign, Nas.  I would love to see us end the season on a positive note.

He's inconsistent, let's be honest.  Juxtapose this and the Dallas game.  Can't be objective and cherry pick.  He's been on an upward trajectory, but from where he started the season, that's about the only way he had to go besides staying benched and eventually being cut.

I get the enthusiasm, I simply don't think this is a sustainable winning formula.

Ok quick give me our WR1 stats

Which has absolutely zero bearing whatsoever on MHJ's performance and the reality of his lack of effectiveness being force-fed targets vs claims he is some kind of superior weapon this year.

guess it depends on what you mean by franchise QB.  I don't think he can be that at this stage.  I think he can be as serviceable starter.  Just lacks the tools at this level to meet my definition of a franchise QB.   I do think he will be our QB for a couple years as we try to build up a respectable overall team/roster.

I think some think pro bowler to fufure hall of famer, Consistent winner--but that is pretty rare--Cam was neither, but most Huddlers would take him back in a minute if in his prime.  I mean, some would consider Murray with the Cardinals a franchise qb based on his contract--

Bryce Young was the highest graded player for the Panthers against the Cardinals per PFF with a grade of 93.0

4 big time throws (a pass w/ excellent ball location and timing, generally thrown further down the field and/or into a tighter window)

0 turnover-worthy throws

The Cards defender had a walk in pick 6 if he went for the ball rather than trying to flatten the man. He'll be kicking himself in the film room today watching that back.
