Statistically, the deep game vs Philly would have been a little better had Leggette held on to the pass on the last drive.

True. I was more referring to his target selection (and accuracy). But you're right that XL making that catch changes a lot.

So you're going to ignore the fact that the Cardinals have the better defense and outside weapons and just bring up Conner going down?? Oh ok lol the fact is Bryce has been going toe to toe with these guys with FAR superior talent (Chiefs Eagles Bucs Cardinals) but he doesn't get props for it for some reason like he's supposed to be dominating these guys with less talent it's weird

Cardinals have a better defense.   It's not a good defense.

Kyler has meh weapons.  Bryce has meh weapons and a great OL.

literally every team has hung around with KC this year. It's not an achievement this year to do that.  They aren't playing good football.   They just can beat teams in the end.  Cardinals aren't some great team etiher.  But now vastly superior just for the sake of exaggerating Bryce?   Tampa isn't even good.  There record is built off of beating the bottom 4th of the NFL.

It's true.  Betting against the spread in KC's games has basically been free money this year.  They're always favored but they never cover.

Yeah we gotta stop trying to compare bryce to other QB's to try to talk him up.

Has Bryce been improving? Yes.

Has he lived up to his expectations yet? no.

Bryce is going to get next year because of how much we gave up, where he was selected, and no for sure hit of a replacement being there for us to grab now. Regardless, we aren't a QB away. Do we need a QB? yes. But we won't be getting a top 10 QB this offseason. Continue letting him attempt to improve and make a decision in 2026 when he has either ended the conversation with more improvement or handed us his replacement via draft spot.

The Chiefs aren't playing good football, but yet they keep beating teams in the end...and they're 14-1?

Plus the refs tipped the scale at least in the first half and the cards coach had a brain freeze for much of the game.  I mean a flea ficker on the first play against this defense? That should be a fireable offense.

The moral of this story should be that 5'10 qbs dont belong in this league as both dudes were having trouble seeing open wrs

There's really no point in getting worked up about Bryce.  We're not getting a top 2-3 pick to take a QB.  We'll probably sign someone in FA and/or draft someone late.  Bryce will most likely be the guy going into next season again while we continue to build the roster.

I don't see the point in getting attached to this guy, but I also don't see the point in arguing whether or not he's any good.  That decision doesn't have to be made now, and it won't be.  He'll get next year and our FO will have more information.

This really should simply end the discussion.  Yesterday didnt change the minds of anyone and it should change the process moving forward.  Bring in competition, keep upgrading the roster and see what year 3 brings.  My gut tells me however they are going to have a HUGE decision when it comes to that 5th year option.  Bryce is who he is at the moment and its a fringe 15-20 player.  And thats not really arguable.  Can he get better, maybe but he will always have his limitations and that is why I suspect Canales played coy with him all season until the car wreck.

“Meh weapons” is being used like 3 star ratings for high school recruits here.

We did score more points against them than any other team, except for the one they lost.

    • I'm usually pro tank in situations like these. Like when Rhule was fired, I wanted us to tank hard and trade anybody worth a damn and just continue losing. I also wanted us to tank that last Saints game in like 2020 I wanna say to get a better pick. However, this year just seems different. I feel like we have something with this coaching staff and building some culture and personality. At some point you really do have to figure out how to win close games. This year feels like that year when Cam and Co just kept losing close games and went like 6-10. Then the following year we just showed out. And like others have said, we've been so ass at drafting that it has changed my whole mindset about wanting to tank and lose games. Fug that, I just want a win wherever I can get it now. Yesterday felt great!
    • At this point I'm indifferent to wins/losses and solely interested in seeing team and staff development on the field. In general, growing teams need to stay mindful when winning certain types of games to not let it mask continued on-field deficiencies, whatever they may be for a given team. That's where the quality of the coaching and FO come in and that's where the rubber will continue to meet the road if Carolina pulls out more of these types of games. This season is nearly a wrap. My metric for success was continued improvement and development on the field and I think it's fair to say that that is happening (degree is debatable, but it is happening), a stark change from prior regimes. Improving this offseason will be no small order and time will tell how things shake out.
    • I’ve always argued for a better draft pick and explore what you have on the team in poo time when the season is already lost vs a win. However seeing this poo franchise draft like ass and be completely inept for 7 years at this point I will take a win if only to feel a brief moment of relief from misery. We are the new Browns…take every crumb you get, the future is already always bleak with Tepper at the helm.
