so i am not exactly sure what game you are even talking about but now the best i can remember Canleas forgot to run the ball after we had already established the run earlier in the game & why Canales elected to do this after the run game had been so effective previously in the game is simply just bad coaching or either Canales was taking what the defense was giving him at that point & time in the game & elected not to run against a stacked box .either or a strong run game takes defensive coverage away from the recievers making it easier to pass the ball ...just saying

It’s not

Chuba vs KC 16 for 58

Chuba vs TB 12 for 43

Thanks @FreeFua

I was just going from memory of watching the games, but here are a few others.

Denver: 15 for 56

Saints part dieux: 15 for 72

Panthers never "established" the threat of a running game. Teams did stack the box and sent a lot of pressure though early though. That was their game plan going in. I think Young showed them something they didn't think he could do. That's a good thing.

Guys. Statements like this are why we struggle to have productive conversations about our own QB.

I agree those guys were more than just ball distributors. They were elite ball distributors or game managers. But none of them were elite by their 2nd seasons. And they all had better weapons. Hopefully if Carolina adds a real all around receiving threat, Young can follow their trajectories.

Labeling the three QB's who sit atop the passing yardage and passing touchdown charts in the entire history of the NFL as merely ball distributors or game managers to prop up Bryce Young is unnecessary. Let's please stop being ridiculous and just let Bryce play and continue to improve as a starter in this league and go from there.

If you haven't come to terms that Bryce will be our QB next season then you just out of touch with reality.

You got people in the Nat'l media saying Bryce has looked like a better QB than Stroud this year. If that doesn't give you hope I don't know what will.

Draft Tmac and let this kid cook.

Tell me what type of QB they were especially year2?

Peyton Manning had 7k yards and 50 TDs in his first two years

What type of QB do you think that is?

Brady had 20 wins, 6.5k yards, and 45+ TDs in his first two years starting...

And Brock Purdy has 61 TDs which the original comment was about

My response was to your comment specifically about two of the three QBs referenced. You said they were "just ball distributors." They were not. You then said in Y2 they were... They still were not. Brady won a Superbowl and Manning was considered a generational talent.

We don't need to compare BY to these guys. As to Brock Purdy, he's had a great 2.5 seasons in one of the NFLs best offenses. And still, that offense has been better with him than any backup as well as any QB before him. It'll be interesting to see how the 9ers handle him.

If your point is that the greatest of all time aren't the greatest of all time in their first couple seasons, you can just say that without denigrating some of the best QBs to ever play...

I mean the The national media pushed bryce heavy in pre draft and then we got that slander job on stroud with test scores and dad being locked up. They have always wanted him to be the guy. This is nothing new. Lol

Bigcat at Barstool was talking about Purdy and said he’s a guy you win with. Not a guy you win becasue of. Like Allen, Jackson, Mahomes, and Burrow. I’m all for Bryce being our QB the next 2 years, but you can’t go out there a pay him like a top 12 QB when we become a .500 ball club.

This is my biggest fear
