Bryce Young May Be The Answer

We can't expect Bryce Young to be better than the other bottom 10 QBs with their offensive weapons? Young needs a SB offense before he can put up average numbers?

Cooper Rush, Drake Maye, Trevor Lawrence, Derek Carr, Jameis Winston, and even Anthony Richardson are all upgrades.

Young is barely treading water in the league, and there are going to be 2 to 3 QBs in the 2025 draft that will surpass Young by midseason.

2 more seasons of this subpar nonsense and excuse making for Young is what I'm expecting. Canales likely won't survive Young.

The Panthers could go with Cooper Rush, Carson Wentz and Jimmy Garoppolo for their QB room in 2025, and the Panthers offense will regularly put up 30 points while performing at a higher level in the clutch.

Canales with a healthy Thielen, Coker, XL, Moore, J.Sanders, Hubbard, and Brooks can get the team to the playoffs with the above QB room. Not with Bryce Young. Sorry, but Young is the one holding back the offense, and he's the easiest piece to improve on with the greatest return.

One of the biggest stats I am somewhat concerned about is Bryce struggling to throw TDs. It will be hard to be successful with a QB that throws less than 20 TDs a season. Heck Bryce struggles to throw 15. I wondered how many multi-TD games he has and he had 3. Last one before this being the Packers game.
Can’t ever see this team being a contender if Bryce is throwing 15-18 TDs a season.

The guy is 23 years old and in his sophomore season… he has no defense and his best weapon is 34 year old WR.  The guy start making decent strides as QB and Carolina offense finally looks alive.  Buuuut, some fans want him to put up Brady numbers or get the fug out… 400 yards and 5 TDs per game while lobbying perfect 70 yard pass of his back foot.  We deserve to be mediocre.  Both of our prior starting QBs will be taking their teams to playoffs.

No one is asking him to be Tom Brady. They're just asking him to be as good if not better than Cooper Rush, Jimmy Garoppolo and Carson Wentz.

We'd like Young to be better than Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield, but we're not even asking for that.

No matter how you cut it he's going to be considered a bust for what was given up for him. He should be outpacing Cam Newton, Jake Delhomme and Kerry Collins game for game in their careers. He should at least be challenging the clutch level of Brady, Mahomes, Stafford, Goff, Garoppolo, Burrow, Hurts and Purdy. Remember that's based on the draft capital given up for Young, and not the extremely low bar Young has actually set for himself.

All I am looking for next year is more consistent offense. Consistent 200+ yard games and multi-TD games. I hope he can get to 20+ TD.

Should be the expectation given we make the right moves in the offseason and that our rookie WRs take a step forward themselves. They got plenty of reps this season, and so hopefully they can be more consistent themselves.

My friend is a Bears fan and sent me a video of Williams' TD throw to Allen today.

My response was simply: "Young can't make that throw" - and that's ultimately the problem.

It feels odd to single out that particular throw because it wasn't overly amazing. I'm about 90 percent sure I've seen Bryce make a similar throw.

Cooper Rush has CeeDee, Jimmy G had Deebo and Kittle, Darnold has Jefferson, and Baker has Mike Evans. If you want him to play like those guys, you need to give him that level of talent.

What other qb is Bryce allowed to be compared to? This is a serious question

just list what qbs over the last two years you think he’s had comparable talent to because it’s exhausting reading people come up with reasons 31 other qbs have it better than Bryce

I try hard to judge the moment without bias.  If it’s bad, it’s bad and if it’s good it’s good.  Anyone that had an issue with Bryce today is hedging their bets on history.  Last week was awful, this week was pretty damn solid.  His numbers should have been a bit better if Thielen pulls in that first deep shot.

I wouldn’t dare pronounce Bryce’s ceiling at this point because if he has showed anything this year, he has showed he won’t quit, he will improve and he’s tough as nails.  I’ve hated on Bryce plenty, but damn he has some heart.

You apparently don't pay attention to key QB metrics and you're just hoping for the team to be perfect for Young to but up a below average record.

You realize the Cowboys & Saints are doing exactly what you're making excuses for regarding Young? Carr lost to the Panthers with the Saints defense gifting the Panthers a rushing TD drive in 4Q and a dropped pass when all they needed was a FG.

Hold Young accountable for being at the bottom of his position. Your excuses for Young apply to the other QBs too. Young isn't earning his way and improvement to Minshew or Levis levels is nothing to qualify a QB as a franchise QB.

Apparently you don't watch football. Carr has been terrible with good weapons and his own team has been calling him out

Rush is a career back up that has peaked and that team has been a train wreck all year. Anyone that would rather have those 2 over young right now would give fitterer a run for his money as worst panthers gm.

Young had a horrible last game no doubt. But he bounced back with this good game and some people expect him to walk on water,  solve world hunger, colonize Mars, ace the bar exam and create a 0 calorie good tasting alcoholic drink and they still wouldn't be happy.

Is he a franchise qb? Jury is out on Bryce. But he could be.

Carr and rush will never be

Probably whoever the Titans QB is if take away all thier weapons apart from Tyler Boyd and Tony Pollard. If you want to try compare situations

Great. After last week Levis had more yards, more TD passes, a better completion percentage, the same number of wins and was benched for mason rudolph.

Considering where he was drafted. Yeah. I expect numbers like what the Commanders rookie has been putting up in his second year. But he struggles to put up 150 yards and 1 passing TD a game.
