All of Bryce’s weapons that left the team

Every QB needs weapons. Every one. Mahomes 1st round pick was a WR. They got Diggs for Josh Allen on top of what he already had there, and then they drafted a WR in the first . The Ravens have been trying to find WRs for Lamar forever. Herberts first round pick was a WR. If you don't have a playmaking WR, then you're looking for one. Hence why their salary increase is pacing that of QBs. But Bryce is supposed to make due when his best receivers are a 34 years old UDFA and a rookie UDFA. Y'all are truly tripping as this point.

That's because our first round WR can't catch a cold or stay healthy.  I'm pretty sure most teams would LOVE to have Thielen, even at 34 years old.  Odd you left out a RB that gained 150 yards yesterday.  That makes ANY QBs life pretty easy.

With Bryce they had combined for

127 rec, 1317 yds, 5 TD

Combined stats after Bryce

 21 rec, 163 yds, 0 TD

But yeah Bryce is the problem for not being a good enough point guard.

LOL! These are weapons like a toothpick is a prison shank.  You can call it a weapon, but will do little to no damage.

We have one of the most expensive OLs in football, a very good running back, one of the best security blanket WRs in the league, and invested almost our entire draft in BY last year by going very heavy offense.

We still need another WR but we can't afford to ignore defense any longer to get BY the tools he apparently needs. Maybe in future years

Do you think a different QB could take this offense to the playoffs?

In this division, yes I do. There's probably 10-15 QBs that could. I think we'd get bounced immediately due to our terrible defense though lol

Edit: I'd say have us in contention late in the season, rather than having us comfortable in. I still think we'd need to go thru the division rather than a WC which is easier but would probably still be questionable right now.

    • I'm usually pro tank in situations like these. Like when Rhule was fired, I wanted us to tank hard and trade anybody worth a damn and just continue losing. I also wanted us to tank that last Saints game in like 2020 I wanna say to get a better pick. However, this year just seems different. I feel like we have something with this coaching staff and building some culture and personality. At some point you really do have to figure out how to win close games. This year feels like that year when Cam and Co just kept losing close games and went like 6-10. Then the following year we just showed out. And like others have said, we've been so ass at drafting that it has changed my whole mindset about wanting to tank and lose games. Fug that, I just want a win wherever I can get it now. Yesterday felt great!
    • At this point I'm indifferent to wins/losses and solely interested in seeing team and staff development on the field. In general, growing teams need to stay mindful when winning certain types of games to not let it mask continued on-field deficiencies, whatever they may be for a given team. That's where the quality of the coaching and FO come in and that's where the rubber will continue to meet the road if Carolina pulls out more of these types of games. This season is nearly a wrap. My metric for success was continued improvement and development on the field and I think it's fair to say that that is happening (degree is debatable, but it is happening), a stark change from prior regimes. Improving this offseason will be no small order and time will tell how things shake out.
    • I’ve always argued for a better draft pick and explore what you have on the team in poo time when the season is already lost vs a win. However seeing this poo franchise draft like ass and be completely inept for 7 years at this point I will take a win if only to feel a brief moment of relief from misery. We are the new Browns…take every crumb you get, the future is already always bleak with Tepper at the helm.
