It's NOT racism, but it IS sterotyping. In fact it's a classic case of sterotyping. White rb's fail. Come on.

I bet the scounts that either brought this up or have this mindset, are not on winning squads.

A winner wants to win. And they will get whoever they can to help win.

Not knowing the context in how this was brought up, it could be like what murph said. He may have said this offhandedly and a reporter ran with it.

There is no reason for Gerhart to not be a 2nd round pick. His college stats, measurables, and workouts are worthy of a top 10 pick. Hell who gives a damn even if he's hindu?? The kid can play and IMO will be the 1st White RB to break 1000 yds. since Craig James in 1985 as soon as he's given an opportunity. Any team would be lucky to get him.

One isolated incident. How long has the arguement been going the other way at the QB position?

Interesting it's the other way in baseball. Blacks claim they're being phased out. I think it's more the pool the players comes from now is truly international.

But, how does a guy like Orlando Hudson who was arguably the Dodgers MVP the first half of last season have trouble getting a long term contract?

For the record I haven't seen one scouting report calling Toby "deceptively fast."

Thats cause hes not. He really is a power back. When did S. Greene go last year? Oh yeah 3rd. Why is him being rated as a 2nd-3rd rounder surprising? Backs that don't have top end speed almost always fall to that range nowadays.

Gerhart should play the position he's suited for.... FB.... He can't be a RB in the NFL :P

Way to have a creative opinion, just regurgitate everything the media tells you to, lol (I'm assuming that was sarcasm). Gerhart will be a beast pared up to Sproles (I think the Chargers in the 2nd would be an ideal landing spot). He is a power RB that ran a 4.5 40 its not like hes slow just not fast. He is just as fast (most likely faster) then Bettis and he did outrun Blount easily.
