What's that? a 27 year old former first round bust defensive lineman for trade?

Salary: 4/6/2010-Signed a one-year, $1.226 million contract.

Age: 27

Draft Round: One

Asking Price: Late draft pick

welcome to Carolina, Marcus Spears

The Cowboys have reportedly put DE Marcus Spears, LB Bobby Carpenter, S Pat Watkins, G/C Cory Procter, and WR Sam Hurd on the trade block.

The former two were first-round picks. Spears was outplayed by his backups a year ago, and may be available for a late-round pick. Carpenter could appeal to 4-3 teams that play a less physical style of defense. Watkins is highly athletic with incredible size, but highly prone to injury. Having signed their tenders, Procter and Hurd are free to be moved immediately.

I don't think we're going to trade for anybody. I think we're going to wait to see what we get in the draft and wait to see who gets released. Any trade resources we have will be spent on trading our way into a 1st round or higher 2nd round pick.
