He’s still 24 ffs. You guys are acting like he’s a  6+ year vet who hasn’t improved at all since he was drafted.

We need a damn center worth a poo who can command and control the line of scrimmage. They’re literally the anchor of the offensive line.

It's not a knock on Icky. It's just recognizing what he does and doesn't do well vs potential costs to keep him. Icky is best driving forward pushing guys. He has a strong anchor and the power to shove guys out of the way. His lateral movement and quickness aren't nearly as strong. To pass block, you have to have quick feet and balance and that isn't Icky, at least right now.

    • Nissan in the 80's and 90's generally were extremely reliable vehicles. Nissan engines and transmissions for the last 20 years or so however are hit and miss at best. I would be highly skeptical of any hype but that's just me.
    • We switched to the 3-4 at the start of the 2019 season. I remember reading an article on the web...possibly even from this site...stating that this was what Tepper wanted and Rivera obliged him. We've hired 3 head coaches since then and none of them has even hinted at moving back to a 4-3. I can't help but think that our owner still wants to run a 3-4, but I could be wrong. I wish someone could bring this up at a postseason conference and gauge the attitude to such a question/suggestion.
    • Your spellcheck, autocorrect, or whatever is failing you. Canales has been getting praise from many podcasts and sports media. He is getting quite a bit more out of this team than people imagined. They have loss five or more games by less than one score. That happens all the time during a rebuild/turn around. You have to learn how to win and part of that is penalties. There is positivity around the team now and the last thing they need to do is fire their head coach. They do have a lot of penalties, but they have been dealing with a new system, youth, and injuries all season long. It is just the way the cookie crumbles with those factors in play. Now please be quiet.🤣
