Never had an issue with doing that. Acknowledged that Bryce was playing better as of late. But today was Bryce of old. I just don't think he has the talent to hack it as a starter in the NFL. He's just too limited. There's only so much you can do schematically to cover for the deficiencies. -
I think the main question is why on earth would you want to extend so far before you need to -
Under Tepper there isn't one. Plain and simple. But we still talk and invest like we're a pound the rock team. Chuba Hubbard is certainly a talented back for us and we paid him as such. Unfortunately he can't do it himself. And he definitely can't do it if we find ourselves in an early hole and have to dig our way out. Clearly the Cowboys have been watching film of our offense in recent weeks and summarily took away everything that Bryce Young had success with. One step forward two steps back on repeat is all I see. But at the end of the day when the game is on the line your first overall pick is who you turn to. What round was Mr. Three Touchdowns Cooper Rush drafted in again? Oh he wasn't? Interesting.
