Seen much better days but seen much worse too. I don't know what I think of him currently. On one hand he looks better than he once did and the line was poo today but on the other hand I want to see good every week now. The next few games should be telling in getting a better opinion on him moving forward for me personally.

I'm not saying Bryce is done, can't ever be starter quality, etc... but if in our final sample size of this year we've got 3 (or more, still season to go ...) bad games from him, vs 3 good games (maybe 1 or 2 great), and the rest are somewhere between below average to slightly above it... We can be sure QB is a position that might have an upgrade out there. At a very minimum we need to bring in competition in the offseason for Bryce - and not just grandpa red rocket, but somebody Canales thinks could really develop.

I do think Bryce has improved and I'm not suggesting cutting him, but I just don't think it's wise to go into next season without another plan.

we've seen bust Bryce to redemption Bryce. let's see how he bounces back. I think Dallas really studied the tape and exposed the entire team. even though I was bad yesterday, nothing that went on is uncorrectable. he's shown that he can grow and take strides, so hopefully he continues to learn and grow moving forward. Yesterday served the team a bit of humble pie to remind them that they're not where they want to be yet.

    • We switched to the 3-4 at the start of the 2019 season. I remember reading an article on the web...possibly even from this site...stating that this was what Tepper wanted and Rivera obliged him. We've hired 3 head coaches since then and none of them has even hinted at moving back to a 4-3. I can't help but think that our owner still wants to run a 3-4, but I could be wrong. I wish someone could bring this up at a postseason conference and gauge the attitude to such a question/suggestion.
    • Your spellcheck, autocorrect, or whatever is failing you. Canales has been getting praise from many podcasts and sports media. He is getting quite a bit more out of this team than people imagined. They have loss five or more games by less than one score. That happens all the time during a rebuild/turn around. You have to learn how to win and part of that is penalties. There is positivity around the team now and the last thing they need to do is fire their head coach. They do have a lot of penalties, but they have been dealing with a new system, youth, and injuries all season long. It is just the way the cookie crumbles with those factors in play. Now please be quiet.🤣
    • It's an odd situation because he's not great, but he is serviceable and you can help him out with the scheme and chipping. Just don't give him a mega deal and he can stay. Let him test the market if he's not happy.
