Josh Allen has more yards in 12 attempts before halftime than Bryce has had in all but two games this season and all but five in his career.

I mean... that kinda says everything.

That's a little unfair Josh Allen is a better QB than every QB we've ever had

BY in 7 games since returning from being benched - 19.5 points per game

Our washed up 37 year old backup QB in 5 starts - 19.4 points per game

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

dalton did it without thielen as well

bryce defenders will tell you that points and wins don't matter though. it's all the eyeball test. and even then, you can't trust your lying eyes. close them. it's all about feel. remember luke with the blast helmet learning to block the lasers? that's what bryce is like.

he's a little microscopic organism that lives inside of you that gives true believers magical powers and just like in star wars, most people think it's fuging stupid and will never work and when it's finally over everyone will try to pretend it never happened

First round QBs RARELY go into their 4th year without the 5th year option picked up.  That is unless the team is having doubts. If Bryce looks bad to meh next year, we do not go into 2026 with him in the long term plans, period. Forget this year, it's too much of a mixed bag.  He's got one more year to prove himself.

All that said, I get the rookie QB contract concept, but that's only if he's THE guy.  I'm still not sold on Young. Next year focus on the defense and few more pieces on the offense.  If Bryce doesn't flourish, I mean completely ball out, cut bait in '26.

Totally fair take. I think if you pursue roster building first before the QB situation then when you find your guy it'll help them to be in a successful position is all that I mean. And especially when you do not have a large QB contract in the way.

Thats why I support the Journeyman and Day 2 QB combo. You can build your team until you have your guy. And who knows, one of those could turn out to your guy in the process.

Key point being if, BIG IF, the rookie contract QB is the guy.  Bryce is giving us every indication he is not.  Seattle is the perfect example, they were able to build around Russell Wilson on his rookie deal. However, how would Seattle have looked if Russell Wilson had played like Zack Wilson?  The strategy is completely sound, no question, but applying it where all the dominoes actually fall in place is way more tricky.
