Bryce May Not Be the Answer

Bryce will give us 6 or 7 wins next season and you lot will be "Look, let's give him one more year". At what point are you going to look in the mirror and say to yourself, "I want an elite QB". Battered Wives Club. The littlest positives make you happy. Wow. But hey, maybe in four years Bryce will get us 10 wins and a first round Playoffs loss! WOOOOOOO!

When the rest of the team looks like we’re a QB away.  You stick with him until he’s due for his 5th year option. If he doesn’t look like he’s the franchise QB then you move on. But drafting another QB isn’t the answer

I think that depends... I don't think we should reach for a QB. But there is a scenario where we have a shot at one of the top 2...

How does it not make sense? Build the roster around the QB you blew your load on. Let it pan out while you build the roster around him and have him on a cheap deal. And when the opportunity arises you should be able to plug a good QB and see big results if Bryce doesn't pan out

First round QBs RARELY go into their 4th year without the 5th year option picked up.  That is unless the team is having doubts. If Bryce looks bad to meh next year, we do not go into 2026 with him in the long term plans, period. Forget this year, it's too much of a mixed bag.  He's got one more year to prove himself.

All that said, I get the rookie QB contract concept, but that's only if he's THE guy.  I'm still not sold on Young. Next year focus on the defense and few more pieces on the offense.  If Bryce doesn't flourish, I mean completely ball out, cut bait in '26.

He’s had 5 solid games in a row. It’s legitimately wild you just look for every excuse to poo on Bryce.  Even as dips are concerned, today’s performance wasn’t that bad considering the protection issues. If it turns into a downward spiral and regression we can talk

Your definition of solid varies greatly from mine. Daniel Jones meltdown was a huge swing in our only win out of those 5 games.

This Dallas team had a poorly ranked defense. There's simply no excuse for only 50 or so passing yards outside of the long TD to Jalen Coker. That specifically has been the concern about Bryce Young as a passer to the point where if he gets over 250 passing yards we have to pinch one another to make sure we aren't dreaming.

Luckily for us you won't be making that decision. Some other folks whose jobs depend on how Bryce Young performs will likely feel otherwise.

That wasn't a dip. How many times does he need to bounce back? How many times did we let Kyle Allen bounce back??????

It's legitimately wild this is your standard considering you go out of your way to poo posts.

THIS.

And I've still not seen one Bryce Fan give us all a reason as to why they're so behind the kid. Is it because you're a Bama fan? Is it because of what we gave up to get him? Is it because he's a Panther? Why do you guys want to suffer year after year after year? Neat, he's "not trash". But he's also "not good". What IS it about Bryce Young that makes you want to stick around? Will we ever get an answer?

They had one of the worst run defenses too yet you single out Bryce. The entire offensive gameplan was poo today.

Canales deserves criticism and needs to give up playcalling duties but you also need to grapple with the reality that this passing offense just can't gain any real traction with Bryce Young behind center.

You take one of those top 2 and surround them with this talent they’re going to struggle more than Bryce. What then?

No evidence of that. We saw this offense struggle also with Dalton. It’s lack of talent and while I like Canales as a head coach and motivator he isn’t some offensive genius schematically

I don't believe that. Our OL is good. We have a good RB. We have good young receivers. We need more receiving help and definitely a better D but Bryce has to overcome significant physical limitations that these other prospects don't have.

I know Bryce young has become a religious issue, and tons of people this I’m just a hater who will never give him credit, but the main thing is this:

27 games into Bryce’s career, how many times has he played so badly the team hasn’t had a chance to win?

At least three times this season; weeks 1, 2 and today obviously.

last year, how many? 7 or 8? And that’s me giving him the first game against Atlanta since it was his first pro starts.

generously 1/3rd of his games he’s gone out there and it would have taken the Jesus Christ all stars to pull it out.

This is who he is.

I mean let's get down to the nitty gritty truth here. The best we've seen this offense at any point in the season was with Dalton. The only game where we scored 30 or more points.

And guess what? Andy Dalton is so terrible and washed at this stage in his career we had to milk his sprained thumb for weeks.

Raise your standards my man geesh.
