For a 3 win team fan base you guys sure are confident about a win tomorrow.

I'm less confident, I expect the Cowboys to establish the run on offense and keep our D off balance with play action. Mike Zimmer is gonna throw a curveball and NOT blitz but instead rush 4 exclusively and play cover 2 forcing Bryce into checkdowns.

Cowboys 20

Panthers 14

I tried to tell ya you wouldn’t listen

Bryce and the team were due for a step back

Don’t overreact we’re still on the right track

The good: Coker continues to impress, didn't hurt our draft position

The bad: run game was nonexistent and abandoned early

The ugly: everything,  just everything else. The d was putrid again as Cooper f'ing rush threw 3 tds and we had yet another rb go over 100, xl pulled a houdini and vanished,  the o line played bad, bad Bryce showed up and nuked any momentum we got with costly turnovers

The next game will be telling. Will Bryce bounce back or will he fall back into his bad habits

why does anyone want bryce to "bounce back."

He's had maybe two games in his entire career that are nfl starter worthy. Bounce back for him is like 20-30, 155 yards, a td, a fumble that maybe he falls on or doesn't, 17 points heading into the last 6 minutes of the fourth.

the bryce young period in NC needs to

What the Cowboys did was keep the pressure on and not let Bryce pad his stats late and get the Panthers back into the game.  Most teams have played passive defensively with a late lead and Bryce has been able to generate those 4th quarter drives.  Yesterday, the Cowboys kept after him and he crumbled.  No soft shell coverage to prevent an over the top play and allow Young to operate the underneath portion of the field.

There's the blueprint to beat Bryce v2.0.  I had mentioned that a team would exposed "new Bryce" eventually and it didn't take long.

Yeah the offense for the past five weeks has been death by a thousand cuts underneath until the fourth when the defense is too tired/drops a safety down, then try a 25 yard bomb against man coverage.

Dallas just clogged the middle and dared the panthers to beat them deep early and Carolina can’t. Obviously the Coker play was a blown coverage and a fluke.

Cooper Rush arguably had a better game against the panthers than b young has ever had.

I said it yesterday but we lost this game on the first drive. That fumble took away our shot to play with a lead and dictate the game. The defense is too porous and injured to play from behind.

If Bryce doesn't fumble and we score a TD I'm betting we win this game by 10 if not 14.

Our defense would figure out how to stop the run if Bryce doesnt fumble?

It’s not arguable.

can you imagine what Team Little Guy would be posting if he’d thrown three end zone dimes like cooper Rush did?

Possibly. But Bryce has never gotten to play vs. The panthers d

He did all throughout camp this year and it was so bad it actually gave us the mistaken impression our defense was formidable.

    • The main problem here though is that second part is what makes the first part incorrect. If Bryce is the guy next year in a sink or swim season, you NEED to get him a #1 WR, and the most likely path to that is drafting T-Mac, I honestly think he's our only chance at getting a #1 WR in this offseason. Hunter's main position is going to be a CB and we're going to be picking in the Top 10, higher than Burden is going to be drafted. Higgins isn't coming here unless we make him a Top 5 highest paid WR in the game, which would just be an asinine contract for him.  After him, there are actually a few other decent WRs in the FA market this offseason, the problem is they are all older WRs past their prime who even if they have a year or two left in them as #1 WRs, they are signing with contenders, not us (like Diggs, Adams, Hopkins, Cooper).  The closest option would be Godwin, but he's not an outside #1, he's a slot who is best as a #2 option, and coming off a bad injury. The only other option would be to try and trade for someone who's team doesn't want to give them a new contract, but any team like that is likely going to want a future 1st round pick for them (such as a DK Metcalf) like those trades in the past few years of AJ Brown and Tyreek, and our future 1sts need to be untouchable until we're settle on a QB. Yes, I know coming from me of all people, this seems like another T-Mac support post, but it's not, it's just pointing out the realities of him probably being the only legitimate option for us to acquire a #1 WR in this offseason.
    • If he still needs significant help in his pass blocking midway through next season, do the panthers risk paying him LT market value, hoping he continues to improve? Laying starting LT money on a player who is in the ‘still improving’ category is a big gamble.    If the panthers don’t throw a really juicy contract at him, another desperate GM will take a flier on him and he’ll be gone. I’m not big on a 5th year option and I’m really not big on franchise tag.  In a way, it’s a similar situation to how it went down with burns. Measurables are there in a guy you’ve waited on for 4 years. Now all of a sudden, they’ve waited too long and are playing a lose lose hand. As with Burns, there’s always someone willing to over pay. Panthers turned down 2 firsts, Burns then dogs it bad, and they have to take what could get from the Giants… and surprise, Burns is who he is.  So what do they do with this dude? Don’t get me wrong, I love the guy, but unless they have an absolute stud at LT, Bryce will never flourish. Will Ickey turn in to the pass protecting stud this team and Bryce desperately need?
    • Nah I did a lot of deep digging for pickup trucks. All of them have their issues, but the 21-24 V8 titan seems to be the most reliable based on my research. The diesel is were Nissan messed up. I don't need a diesel truck.   Also Nissan has the best warranty 5yr 100k. By far the best deal on the market. Also while they are outdated I'm kind of excited about getting one because they no longer make them 24 was the last year of production. I think my mind is made up. Always rooted for the underdogs anyway. No more RAM for me baby!   Titan here I come in 2025!
