"Don’t Look Now, but Bryce Young is Closing the Gap on C.J. Stroud"

Panthers fans mocking Stroud for losing that badly to the Ravens should not throw stones from glass houses. I've seen some things as of recently that make me hopeful for the future but I can pretty safely say all that aside we would not have likely faired much better against a Super Bowl ready team like that either. Neither Houston or Carolina is ready for that yet. Just the reality.

Agree. The Ravens are the absolute worst team for the Panthers defense. But, I thought the Eagles would do the same. So you never know.

I think the Panthers oline would hold up a lot better than Houston's though so we'd actually score, unlike Houston's offense.

Former Huddler that's in Pantherscord posed a very interesting question that will be fun to go back and see the tape to find out:

Did the Texans change from a "first read" offense to a "read and react" offense?

While that puts more on CJ's plate, statistically he looks to be handling it well enough. His OL on the other hand...

30-27 loss vs. defending SB champs < 31-2 loss to Baltimore?

Don't get me wrong, folks using it as an excuse to poo on CJ because they don't like him the way CJ's fans use the alignment of the planets as an excuse to blame anything/everything on Bryce is asinine.

You would be surprised some of the things panther fans on social media say and how confident they are in bryce.

I feel like the Cowboys game is a more appropriate comparison given they're more similar shellackings at a similar point in the season. In both cases a strong pass rush threw off a young QBs ability to read the field well. Imo, Young still outperformed Stroud - in that game in specific.

But we played 2 SB ready teams in the time frame being discussed and lost both by one score. Bryce was good in one, great in the other.

He was not very good vs the Cowboys in that same time frame - maybe better than Stroud vs the Ravens but overall he was very bad.

I was directly addressing another posters claim. Cowboys don’t have anything to do with a discussion over playing SB ready teams

Discord server that spun off from the Panthers subreddit. Actively maintained and organized. Lots of good faith discussion as well. A few of the more knowledgeable posters from here have since moved over there.
