We all know winning is more than QBs job.  Since returning from being benched (which is what we're talking about here), he put the Panthers to win or tie the game in all but two games.  and yes, all of those games matter to those players and the organization.  Nobody wants to lose other than the fans desperate to draft another overhyped player

I agree about the playoffs. Just depends on who they match with early. 

I was just saying that CJ still looks like the guy and is just going through a slump, and he still has enough weapons to overcome the breakdowns in protection. Guys were open all day. Even early reads. He was just missing throws. Imagine losing Diggs and Dell and still having multiple playmakers left. Panthers would fold if they lost their possession receiver.

Didn't say winning and losing is only solely on the QB at all times. Nobody said anything about wanting to lose games either. Idk why you're injecting that. But my post was made in the context of people currently making posts citing data framing Bryce Young as top 10-15 in the NFL amongst his peers and for that to continue yes he is going to have to lead this team to victories early next season. And no one should have an issue with that statement. There is no reason this team cannot compete in such a mediocre at best division.

Well cj was the one dragged threw the coals pre draft while bryce was propped up so its really not surprising everybody piling on now cuz there assessments look better.  Stroud got the media attention in the off season like most star rookies after the sesson....the thing is he earned it tho. Remember cam after his rookie year, he was everywhere in the news and then the disappointing second year and everybody was in tear down mode in the media. Thats how it goes.

tbh, CJ looks the way he did in college. He's lights out without pressure, but when he's under duress he panics and gets it to the check down asap. Go back and watch his last season at Ohio State and you'll see that the only game that didn't happen was Georgia when he really stepped it up. Keep CJ clean and he'll keep getting it to their big play weapons with pinpoint accuracy.

It is strange though seeing Panthers fans absolve CJ of any responsibility only to turn around and blame Bryce for being sacked 60+ times last season.

Agreed, he was very inaccurate.  I think something's not right with him mentally or emotionally at the moment.  The sobbing on the sidelines last week was a little weird even though I know that's his friend.

I think he was talking about Panthers fans blaming the OL and defense for the Texans' losses, but blaming Young for the Panthers' losses.

Most people I've seen are clearly acknowledging he isn't playing well regardless of the OL. He had a number of opportunities in the Ravens game he didn't capitalize. We can only speculate what might be going on. The Ravens are a significantly superior team to them though and that was evident in last years playoff game and yesterday. The Texans are not that much ahead of us in terms of actually competing for much. No matter how much some people have wanted to talk up their roster like it's one of the best in the NFL. It isn't.

And to be clear as far as Bryce last year and the OL we paid through the nose to the detriment of our defense to protect Bryce Young and we are currently what looks like 22nd in the NFL in sacks. As expected he has finally started to show growth.

And regardless of that some QB's do better than others under duress. Last year the Commanders gave up 65 sacks and still their QB was 12th in passing yards. Despite that and the circumstances he faced he was sent packing to Seattle.

You outright blamed Bryce for being sacked 60+ times last season and then said that CJ was sacked this season as many times as Bryce was last. Please, have a seat before you start telling folks which QBs we're not allowed to compare Bryce to.
