Rods forwards and lines

I think this is now being talked about on radio shows other message boards and podcast. These lines have derailed our forward groups.  We now have 2 wins in 7 games. Scoring has all but dropped. They haven’t had a 5v5 forward goal in 4 games. That’s wild. Aho said postgame the thing we have all been saying…we have no chemistry. He said it.  Staal sounded defeated. Koochie is playing bad to average.

what needs to change? Team looks terrible. Is it time for a players only meeting like last year?

Sadly I dont see Rod changing. Im talking about in terms of his philosophy and way he has been handling things. He is the same since his first year. The thing is, he hasnt tried adapting and getting better each year. He needs to be more innovative, which is isnt, and its why we have stretches were it looks like we are hanging by a thread and also why we keep getting knocked out of the playoff.

Rod is who he is. He NEEDS to mess with lines. His philosophy and coaching style is never going to change. We already extended him again and so we are stuck with him until we are not.
Thing is I get everyone just wanting to stick with Rod through good or bad.
The Canes have been contenders every season he has been here. But the problem is his issues really come to a head when the playoffs start.
Yes, I believe Rod is to blame for a lot of our playoff problems.
Rod is a great season coach but a terrible playoff coach.

Rod has been a god send to develop our players to get us this far. Unfortunately, I think this is far as rod can take us.  Can’t develop a true goalie with Koochie getting worse. Team flames out every year in the playoffs.  Who would be the next Florida Panthers type situation to take us to the next level?

All Rod has to do to significantly improve the team is surround himself with better coaches, but he is headstrong on sticking with his current staff. Eventually this will lead to him being fired.

The Canes lost Bunting (13), TDA (3), Noesen (14), Pesce (3), Skjei (13), Teravainen (25), Guentzel (8), Kuznetsov (2), who accounted for 81 of Carolina's 277 goals (29.2%) last season.

They were replaced with Blake (0), Carrier (6), Gostisbehere (7), Robinson (3), Roslovic (9), Walker (10), who scored a combined 35 goals last season.

I'm not going to comment on this- make up your own mind.
